h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Dear Editors of H2G2

Due to a recant incident in which I discovered that some of the information I was given to help flesh out an article on Italian Liqueur turned out to be copied from a website, I have decided to request that my article on TV Westerns be cancelled from its impending inclusion on the front page of H2G2. I do not feel right at the momment and have decided that I would like to start out afresh.

I know that the article I have written took me a lot of effort on my part, but the recent accident regarding my last article, I ask you to remove it from the list of articles that are going to be included in the guide.

During the time that myself and John the Gardener discovered that part of the article had been copied, I seriously considered my place at H2G2. However, I decided to stay. However, as I have already stated, I would like to start with a clean slate. Therefore, it is my wish that the TV Western article not be published. I will then delete my origional copy. It is nothing against any of the hard work you have done cleaning up the article and the prose. I thank you for your hard work, and all the work you have done making H2G2 what it is today. Therefore I ask you to scrap the TV Western article that is currently pending.

Your slate is not in the least bit marked - you were quite obviously innocent of the mistake that occurred over your last entry, as anyone who reads that thread can see. Besides, there shouldn't be any 'marking of slates' going on on h2g2 in any case. No one here should be judging anyone else.

Your TV Westerns entry is so good, however, that it's pick of the day for the 15th November - it will even appear on BBCi's Communicate page, along with its own artwork. We *all* read it through here and got quite nostalgic! If you're happy that the entry is original, we're more than happy to stand behind you.

I do hope you'll reconsider.
