I may have just lost a good friend. I need to learn to keep my mouth shut.

I'm going to start modeling again
Posted Aug 23, 1999
No, i don't do underwear ads. I make scale model cars and figures.
I've been painting on and off for 4 years, mostly painting figures for my D&D game. Recently, i took up cars. As a child, i was entranced by model cars, but disappointed with how unrealistic they looked.
About 2 years ago, i picked up a car model mag from the news stand. I saw all kinds of wonderful custom creations using a myriad of aftermarket parts. Finding out i lived near one of the biggest aftermarket manufacturers, i went for a visit to Detail Master.
I met with Dirk, then owner then, and looked at the expansive inventory laid out on shelves upon shelves. Whilst i wasn't looking, someone had made an industry dedicated to custom fabrication and detail. I was hooked.
It has been a year since i last worked on a model due to my tendonitus. But after finding some old mags, i have began reclaiming my workspace to develop my custom VWs.

Yeah!!!
A good movie all around. Glad to have seen it, and want to see it again. Altough, I would have liked to see Adam West as the Sphinx.
Oh, and a Corvette Limo straight from Corvette Summer. Ohhh. And Yeah to Tom Waits. Rain Dogs!

Hello. Nothing of great import has happened to me lately. But i thought i've give myself a break from the logfest posting, or anyone else, if anyone else reads this page. If you are reading this, hello.
Anyway, as i have stated, nothing much. Oh, i did manage to kill one of my charecters in D&D last week. A 6/5 fighter mage. Oh well.

logfest '99
Posted Jul 20, 1999
As some of you may know, I am involved with the Logical Language Group, a not for profit organization that is involved in creating the constructed language Lojban. Lojban is a development of Loglan, developed by James C. Brown. This past weekend saw the holding of the 10th aniversary of Logfest. This is the annual meeting in Washington D.C. to develop the future of Lojban. The meeting is of the members (of which there are now 22) either in person or by proxy. Being a newish volunteer, this was the first meeting i attended. I have been helping the company by volunteering time and effort for the development of the language. I am not a linguist, but i see several merits for a logical language.
This meeting included the board of directers and the voting members. Attending was John Cowan, whom wrote the grammer book which is now for sale by the LLG. Nick Nicholus was able to attend for the first time, as he is from Australia. Nick is the best speaker of Lojban so far. Other people of note for me were Nexus and Heather from Twin Oaks, both interested in the development of Lojban. During the meeting, Alex and I were voted in as members in recognition of the time we have spent working on Lojban. Alex has volunteered to be on the Board of Directors, but is without office. I am now in a commette to develop www.lojban.org as an updated and organized site as a front for the company. I am considering making a H2G2 article on Lojban.
