Unfortunately, despite his Space happily proclaiming that he is back, we haven't seen Ashley around for some time.

Unfortunately I never really knew Ashley onsite, and I have no details for him now so I can't contact him. I've left a message for the h2g2 Editors in case they can help, but if you've already discussed it with the BBC and that's the decision I guess that's probably the end of it. I'm really sorry I can't help any more.
My only suggestion would be if you have a Further Reading section a link to the Entry could go in there. It's not what you were after though!
All the best, and I hope h2g2 can provide inspiration for you even if not actual Entries!

I have an old email address for Ashley, so I've emailed him hoping it still works and he's able to pop back to the site. That's the best we can do I'm afraid.
