This is the day I was due! Trust me to be early, I've never been late for anything since (especially lunch)
In 3 years, when we are 55, we will have to have a great party on this day
I just rang my Mum because I just read that h5ringer's Mum has passed away and I needed to tell her that I love her very much
How is your dear Mom?

h5ringer's Mum has passed away? Oh no. I'll stop by with condolences.
My mom is doing better now that she is being given insulin and anti clotting drugs and so forth. She was taken from the hospital to a nursing home where she'll be till the end of may. There they are giving her therapies and making her move about and such. When her stay is up and she goes home, I expect she will decline to continue with the medications. She has been a christian scientist almost all her life - I expect the force of that will ultimately prevail and that this business of being under doctor's care is a lapse that will pass. It's sad thing to me - but I will respect her wishes as I always have.
I would not wish a c.s. upbringing on anyone and my only consolation is that it is clearly a dying religion, but enough about that. Thanks very much for your concern.
Say hello to your mum for me - she must be very pleased that she is known and cared about the world over.

Concern goes hand-in-hand with caringit's a source of great joy that I have such wonderful friends and a privilege to be there for them when I am needed. We all have families and RL friends but there's something about this place, we can open our hearts and bare our souls and know there's a loving response with no remorse.

I did enjoy your write-up - but I'm not always the brightest spark and miss puns sometimes. I should have picked up the Elvis connection right away.

Oh, and yes - it's just a few short years to 55 - We shall have a great party for that one.
I have always liked everything about may - the time of year, the things that flower, even the word itself. There's a very old-fashioned song - 'I was strolling through the park one day, In the merry merry month of may...'
It's just a great time to be born any way you look at it.
