Whaddya mean STAY sane? You're making the very large assumption that I currently AM sane. Most of my friends and relatives would dispute this - well they do say that madness is relative.

Hello, Princess Bride. I'm not really a dragon either, but, as you say, we all have our fantasies.

Most of my 'Approved Entries' are articles I contributed to, like Giving Up Smoking, or the various slang pieces. The only one I actually wrote myself is the one on Redditch, Worcestershire, UK. So I'm not that cool. More luke warm, really.

I don't know if I've ever used TTFL - if I did, it's a typo. It should be TTFN, which stand for Ta-ta For Now (or Goodbye for now if you want to be formal). Similarly, BCNU stands for 'Be Seeing You'. 'Crescent - ACE' uses that a lot.

Thanks for the 'good luck' wishes on the weight loss. I'm about one-third of the way to my target. I should be nearly there by now, but circumstances have conspired against me. That's my excuse, anyway!

As for starting my own business, you need money for that, both to start the business and to live on while it gets going. We don't have enough for either. At the moment I'm a contractor, i.e. freelance, which is extremely insecure but it gets rid of a lot of the problems of permanent employment. It also means you must be prepared to work anywhere.
