Cheerful Dragon, Sorry to hear about your mum-in-law. My father in-law died from cancer four yrs ago in April. It was bone cancer but started in the lungs because he was a smoker. My adopted ma(She is Cherokee Indian) has had stomache cancer and she just had surgery to remove three hernias and fix her stomache lining. Cancer no matter what kind is no fun. Especially when it spreads. My prayers are w/ you and your family. If you believe in God, know he will do all he can to take her pain away and she will live w/o pain watching over your family. Peace. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you on this.
Mum Heath died on 17th December. We were lucky to be able to have the funeral on the 21st, which gave us a sense of closure. We didn't want that hanging over us during the holidays. She was cremated and her ashes will be interred next Sunday.
Mum Heath died peacefully in her sleep at the local hospice. She wasn't in pain at the end. Her death was the kind she wanted. She kept an open mind on ghosts, and didn't want the risk of haunting her house if she died there. We've been to her house several times since she died, and we can feel that she isn't there. Wherever she is, she's with Dad Heath. Both were buried in clothes they went dancing in, so we're sure they'll be dancing together, somewhere.
At the time of the diagnosis, she said that Dad hadn't taken very good care of her. We think Dad knew she wasn't happy on her own and called her to him.

I believe they will dance in heaven together. A medium once said that the things you loved doing here on earth...you carry on in heaven. My best freind of mine step-dad passed away on the 28th w/ the funeral today. I wasn't able to go as my kids r in school and we had quite a few inches of snow here in north dakota...uffda. Take care and take it one day at a time. Live your life as your parents wanted you to and they will watch over you Uffdamaida
