Have a cold again so I'm miserable. (How many of my diary entries have started with me whinging about a cold - I really need to move somewhere warmer!)

Came on here for first time in agres and have realised two things:

1. Mark has gone - Where, Why, What, How and just how long was I away to miss that?

2. I seem to have one of the shortest names on the site and it makes me feel a little naked when I look at the Who's online list.

It is 3 years to the day that Doug Dastardly and I met up for real in Oxford - our first off-line meeting. Who would have thought it but we have now been married for more than 50% of the time we have known each other - and we are still going strong. I still like stirring things up at work occassionally by reminding them I met Doug on the internet when so may of them think it is full of psychos and paedeophiles. Jaws do drop! smiley - smiley

Sunday Somthingth of May

Not too good a week. It started out not too bad as we managed to finally see all 5 planets in the alignment for the first time on Tuesday night but then Doug fell ill about an hour after we got home from out astronomy class. We thought it was food poisoning but then I fell ill two days leter just as he was getting better. I only managed to get out of bed today and decided to build a shed on an empty stomach which wasn't too good an idea. Still at least my appetite is returning and I definitely feel I deserve a beer as the shed looks great.

Did some more gardening yesterday. only weeding and stuff. Also intended to use compost as mulch but had fright of life when thrust garden fork into compost and there was almighty buzzing sound. Dropped fork and ran screaming into house as huge wild bees swarmed angrily around garden.

Of course, couldn't leave it like that as fork was still in middle of bees nest and lid was off compost bin so had to go back out to sort it out. To avoid being stung I grabbed the nearest available clothing - Fleece, pink scarf wrapped around head, yellow marigolds and safety goggles. Husband says he will never be able to show his face to the neighbours again!
