The day was lovely and we've been having a great time - now we are just getting used to living together! Any helpful hints?

Tell yourself that you love him a lot when he does dumb things.
Seriously, like anything else it's an adjustment process. After six years, I'm still finding out about weird things my wife does that I never knew about before...
