Just wondering if you'd seen entry A360, "Amateur Dramatic Society?" Oh, and I hope you have a better day today! I guess I should think about doing some work... oh well...

I think you may be right smiley - winkeye. Have you read any Terry Pratchett? His book Maskarade makes some pretty funny observations about "opera"...

I even worked for the CEGB where Terry wrote most of the earlier books! I haven't read maskerade though so now I guess i'll have to go & buy it!

I bumped into him on Oxford Street once! It's a good book, I'd recommend it, especially if you know the reality about what goes on behind the curtain! Commuting to work, you do tend to go through a lot of books. I'm on about three a week now!

Oh, I enjoyed the poetry page smiley - smiley.

Cheers. As soon as I work out how to get my carriage returns to take on my user pages I'll submit it so it can be rejected.

Only 3? I don't commute and read about 5. When I move I plan on having a library!

Ohh, I can help you there smiley - smiley All you need to do is put a
< P > before the paragraph and a < / P > at the end of each para. (No spaces of course).

5 Books! Where do you find the time! I only read on the train, and that's a half hour trip each way. Maybe I'm just a slow reader! What have you read recently then?

A book called Single White E-Mail, one called Eating Cake, and I'm just reading a thriller but can't remember what it is called (holes in the brain!)

Favourite book is Wild Swans or Pride & Prejudice (depending on what mood I'm in). What's your's?

I guess my favorite book ever was The Wierdstong of Brasingamen! Which is a kids book I read *years* ago, and it really made an impression. I go through phases too, allthough I tend to read sci-fi/fantasy mostly. I've just been on a major Pratchett binge over the last couple of weeks and I think I've read them all now. Oh, Good Omens was good smiley - smiley

On my pages - I put...

This is the first para, blah blah waffle waffle

This is the second para etc etc

Did that help?

I'll try it and submit it anyway.

Yeah i like Good Omens. But I like Johnny and the Dead, & Only you can save mankind better.

Only you can save mankind was good smiley - smiley. I've not read Johnny and the Dead.

I think the editors will sort out the formatting for you if it's not working. After all, isn't that the job of the editor! As long as the text is good I don't think it'll matter too much, and I enjoyed it!

Ta, cos it didn't work so I submitted it - Noticed someone else has written an unsubmitted article on poetry but it was a bit serious.

Post 15

Doug Dastardly

Well, I hope you got in first then smiley - smiley. Do you know how long it takes for articles to be rejected? A couple of weeks I read somewhere...

Post 16

Ginger The Feisty

2 weeks!!!! Whenever I've been rejected in the rest of my life the timescales have been much shorten - However my friends have led me to believe that I invite rejection so nothing new there!

Post 17

Doug Dastardly

Invite rejection? And why would you want to do that! It could be longer than two weeks - you think of all the articles that are being submitted... and I don't think there are THAT many editors!

I might have to apply for a job then. I could work from home and never have to do a 45 minute drive to work ever again!

Post 19

Be luxury to work from home wouldn't it smiley - smiley. I know it appeals to me. I think it would take a lot of disciplin. I'd be very temped to not get up! I guess you could always work nights though! smiley - smiley
