Hello GTF!
Back on H2G2 after , er, FOREVER! Please forgive the new name - used to be Cannon Fodder eons ago.
Please say Hi to Doug for me.
Dropped by to read your old entries - got to start somewhere to catch up.
I hope you are well and planning a burst of new entries.
Take care.

Hi there - how long were you away? I don't write too much nowadays - my job is very busy and so I had to give up subbing and writing as I didn't have the time to do it justice. Good to see you back.

Busy is good.
When I changed jobs 2 yars ago I was so busy I had no time at all. Not that I have a great deal of time now. The difference is that I make the most of the time I do have.
Talking of time - I have just moved out of a town (ADSL) into a rural village (45k ish) so everything takes sooooo much longer on here ( see my home page for how to speed it up )
Take care

You don't need to move out of town for things to slow down here. Our phone lines in Bristol are so bad that when we moved here we had an isdn link put in so we could get reasonable connection times. In our old house you could go away and make dinner in the time it took to refresh and sometimes we just had to give up entirely. We spent 6 months surfing only after midnight because it was so much quicker!

"You were lucky. When we were kids we lived in a shoe box...."
I often browse using my PDA connected to my mooooooooooobile. Gawd that is slow. At least H2G2 has a mode for slow bandwidth (see my home page). It is the only way I can browse over my mobile.
