Ginger The Feisty Posted Dec 28, 2002
I know - I've been hidden away working very hard - looks like things are getting busier too but I've promised not to even think about work until I go back on 6th January!
How are things with you?

Hi Ginger!
Glad to see you still check into h2g2!
Things are fabulous with me. Just got back from seasonal holidays and had a most relaxing and enjoyable time. Lots of catching up to do - finally managed to see the Two Towers, went to the Science museum and Colchester Zoo, saw loads of family and friends and made a feast with friends for New Year (plus I got a lie in on New Year's day) I've got a couple of resolutions under my belt, too.
How are you and how's Doug?!

We too had a lovely long break over christmas and only went back to work on Monday. Yesterday and today we have both been stuck in bed with colds so it has been a bit of a short week this week
Over the break we went to London, visited the globe theatre and also went to see We Will Rock You which was excellent.
Doug's fine - he handed in his resignation before christmas and is just waiting to hear what their reaction to it is. I think he is hoping they will put him on 3 month's gardening leave - and so am I as it means he will decorate the dining room!

We've just finished decorating the dining room. All lovely and raspberry red The overall look is slightly early 19th Century with a modern twist - we've got pewter sconces up and everything!
Hooray for short weeks!

We are going to do ours terracotta and pale gold. We have lots of pine furniture in there and we want the room to look warm and meditteranean especially as it leads to the kitchen which is quite a cold room! We also have to do the spare room and the hall. Doug won't let me get a wall paper stripper though but I think I'll wait until he's not looking and sneak one in!

Sounds lovely
Do get a wallpaper stripper. we've got one and they're brilliant. I don't think it was that much money either. It's always in demand amongst our friends too.
Our next project is the main bedroom. Too wallpapered-out to think about it at the moment though!
