Hi Ginger
Long time no chat. So how's your lot of subbing going? Got any weird ones yet? Let me know by email, pastey@subs. What did they give you @subs?

I think it is a good idea to let people know about the reasons for rejection looney - maybe you could explain that the Gloucester article I wrote has been completely rewritten since so was not the one rejected. I have no intention of resubmitting the others. They were all written in the early days before we knew what to expect. Well done.
Pastey - email is on its way too you, I think I am Ginger@subs . Look forward to hearing from you! Exciting isn't it?

It's wonderful, the best bit though is recently when applying for a job I had a bit of a telephone interview which went...
"So Mr.Dunkley, do you have any hobbies?"
"Yes, I'm a Sub Editor for the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy."
"Thank you, we'll be in touch."
That made my week.
I've had some mixed articles though. Some I really love and really want to go through, and have even done a fair amount of research for, and then there are others which I have to admit I thought were a little bit on the useless side. But I'm loving doing this. It keeps me out of trouble while I'm looking for work.
I'm just wondering what the guy at the dole office will say. He's been trying to get web work in the same area as me for the same amount of time as me. I can't wait to tell him on wednesday. The thing is, do I declare this as voluntary work or not?
Is it really work? Work has never been so enjoyable.

I treat this as a hobby as it is unpaid but am hoping to learn some useful skills that can go on my cv. That's also the reason DD and I have been working on our own website!
Congratulations

Congratulations.
You wanted me to write a piece about how we celebrate christmas in Sweden.
Do you want it on your page or mine?
Are there any special things you want me to concentrate on?
Have a good time.
Congratulations

Stick it on your page - I wanted to cover legends, traditions, food and drink - stuff like that!
