What version of IE is it?
Does it give you any error messages or just sit there quietly being empty?

No error messages - just stays blank. As for the version... gimme a sec. on that. What's the quickest way to find out?

From IE click on help then select 'about IE' from the menu. Somewhere on the little popup that opens will be the version.

Sorry my memory is a bit vague on the specifics of IE4.
I think you need to enable javascript by looking for options or setup in the IE menus (you might also be able to do it by right clicking on the IE icon on your desktop & selecting 'properties'). Somewhere in there will be a setting for javascript on/off.
Deep in the depths of my memory I have a feeling that you need Win 95 OSR2 or later for javascript to work properly in IE4.
hope it helps

By the way, could you see if the poll at:
http://www.h2g2.com/A214075
works for you - it seems to work on Netscape but not IE, where you cannot see the names to vote for. I'm trying to work this all out...

That poll doesn't work for me in IE5
A quick look at the html the site sends out for that page shows
Venus in Furs
Venus in Flares
Venus in Leather
Venus in Cider
Venus in Marmite
Venus in Blue
Usually this happens if you enter the OPTION tags like this
Venus in Flares
The h2g2 site inserts the tag because all tags must be closed. Unfortunately, being only a 'puter it can't work out the exact correct spot for it so it just sticks it in immediately after the tag
The correct format for OPTION is like this
Venus in Flares
If you change it to this it should display correctly in all browsers.
hope it helps

It seems to be working fine at the moment - is the last entry Wilson Brown Bear?

Aaahh Oooopsy - I was looking at your homepage & not the NAVAL survey
The survey form html from the site shows this
Venus in Furs
Venus in Flares
Venus in Leather
Venus in Cider
Venus in Marmite
Venus in Blue
You need to add an to the 1st one.
& you need to fix the last so that its in the correct format

Bruce - do you know how you can get two researchers to both write an article together, and have two names in the credits thing on the top right? I have an article tht I want to co-write with someone, but we both will need access to it to get it to work, just having one person doing it and exchanging e-mails isn't enough.

As far as I know the multiple author pages are set up especially by the h2g2 staff - but I think that once they're set up only the h2g2 staff can edit the page contents.
You might want to check with Peta ( http://www.h2g2.com/U24 ) - I'm fairly sure she knows the details.
