O Great Guru of xml/GuideML!
*leaves ceremonial rice on altar*
It has come to my attention that there are at least two of us who have lovely ascii sigs that are really deserving of custom smileys.
the bluDragon qualifies as a 'Bruce' 'cause her typist's name is Bonnie Bruce [yes, really]
And yourself, O Great Guru, qualify as a 'Bruce' 'cause...
Well, anyway, we both have ascii sigs. I would love a dragon smiley. I can't speak for you [would never dream to attempt such affrontery] but mebbe you would like one too. Not a dragon, I mean, your own smiley. Then we both could use them in forums instead of our ascii sigs, and no one would have to get a stiff neck turning their head sideways trying to figure out what the sig represents.
And then EVERYONE would want their own smiley, and there would have to be a new editor hired to manage it all, and a new server to store them, and pretty soon the Guide would crash from the weight of the smileys, and...and...
Nevermind.

So what I really want to know [but cant ask 'cause I dont think I know you well enough] is what is that under your smile??? A beard? A pipe? A tattoo? I was really hoping it was a kilt! Love men in kilts! An' I even felt that way BEFORE Braveheart was filmed...
BTW, I finally pushed the long link in my journal off my page. It was a lotta work too! But my page has returned to normal width, as promised.
Thanks!

Aaah, the mysterious # under my chin - its a beard
Sorry it's not a kilt, but they aren't real popular here in Australia.
;^)#
at least you didn't guess it was a bowtie - phew

Well, in MY opinion, REAL men wear kilts. But I understand that this could create a cultural problem in some places. Actually, my first thought WAS that it was a beard. That's what comes of thinking in ascii for many years...

I like bowties, too, but only on a select group of people. To look right they definitely hafta enhance the personality of the wearer, and they usually DONT!

For a while it was ;^)~ but someone convinced me it looked a little too much like the occassionally trendy jazz things on adolescent chins
;^)#
its not a cultural thing with kilts here in Oz - its just there's so many durned jumpy things that bite

I understand, practical, rather than cultural. That figgers in Australia. No worries about individualism; worries about survival.
'an I agree: the # IS better than the ~
the ~ is a goatee
the # is a beard
