I'm just poppin' in as one of the ACE's here, or assistant community editors. You might want to visit the 'Welcome page' @ A53146 , or the 'I am new, what do I do now?' page @ A868098 .

You might also want to take the <./>dontpanictour</.> . Brightening up your space is a consideration, you might want to look at 'spicing up your page' @ A690518 , or possibly the 'picture gallery' @ A692741 . Then of course there're the ever popular smileys, these guys; , , , , , etc. Just click on A155909 to go to a long list of 'em.

It's got simple instructions for creating each one. And should you ever want to rfresh your memory, you can check back by just typingg smileys into the search window.

Hi there 'jazzedupcurry' can I call you curry?
What a welcome, every time I came back (handy button) there was something new to discover.
However the long list of smileys you are writing about is rather short, you are pointing at the index page .
The search window is a handy tool indeed, I used it a lot before registering.

Ok, now that I'm not quite so rushed...
Another one of the ACE's Feisor has compiled a reasonably comprehensive list of 'hints & links for new researchers' @ A719840 , in which he mentions, among other things h2g2's newspaper <./>thepost</.> , which comes out every Thursday.

Wowee, how far can I go?
I lost count at some 200.
Curry, you can call me 'counting on' or perhaps my long name.
If I can figure out how many digits it's got
Am I supposed to write something for the Guide or is it fine just to fiddle around?

There's no rush...I doubt they'll send out 'enforcers', y'know counting on? Just whenever you're inspired/and/or feel passionate about a topic...such as a hobby or your neighbourhood, or whatever.

Sometimes double posts used to happen because the servers were playing up, you would click a button and nothing would appear to happen, then you'd think of something else to add to your post, add it and click post taking you to the conversation with the post you didn't think went through but they seem to be few and far between nowadays.
The long usernumber is all very well but it stretches your page margin when you write entries or are credited on them. How about putting some spaces in to keep the tables right
If you keep pictures to their origianl size you won't get the distortion you are experiencing on your dolphins and eyes. I know you want big eyes so how about using one of these?
