The Ghost Of TV's Frink Started conversation Dec 28, 1999
Hi Anna!
I know you get complaints from time to time because articles have not been accepted/rejected for six, seven, ten, etc. weeks. This is not one of those complaints - I'm just wondering what happened to a few of my articles that seem to have gone missing.
Dish Sculptures - A115462
The Mountains of Denver - A125966
I believe both articles have been submitted for over 20 weeks, which is normally beyond the scope of judgement. I don't mind waiting longer, but I want to make sure someone will get them eventually.
Thanks
-TVF

Sorry to take so long to get back to you on this TV's Frink. Anna has been away. They are still in the queue, but you are right, I'm surprised that you haven't heard anything on these. I'll follow it up and get back to you.

Peta - I have the same problem. I had an article approved yesterday that I wrote 14 weeks ago but the following: A135910, A133679 and A112384 have been waiting for 22 weeks at least. I know we all work at different rates but I would have thought whoever has these articles would be nagged silly by now!

Solved the problem with one of those because I just got a rejection letter for The Floating Bridge, Southampton. I was a bit disappointed that it was rejected but then I guess it isn't everyone's taste. I think it goes to show how subjective rejection/acceptance is depending on us sub-eds though! If Stop Motion Animation Films gets rejected then I have to seriously rethink just what it is the guide is supposed to be aiming for.
Still ce la vie!

As self-appointed Solicitor for Ms. Feisty I'd like to file a formal appeal of the rejection of the 'Floating Bridge' entry.
Plaintiff argues that the entry is of high enough quality to deserve inclusion into the Approved Guide(TM). I first came across the entry in question during on of the Fun Runs sponsored by vegiman.
I will be calling vegiman as a character witness for the entry in question on behalf of the plaintiff.
My boy will serve you with the formal papers before the end of the business day.
Thank you.

(Seriously Peta, give it a read. It was a good entry! )

Thanks are not needed until victory is assured!

Give me a court-ordered injunction pending appeal or give me death (or at least a long nap)!!

I have asked Mark to review the rejection. Guess one of my colleagues didn't like the article though!

Hi Ginger
Floating Bridge came through as a maybe. Sam rejected it because he thought it needed a bit more information. We had a look at it again. We've all grouped around and looked at it again, and yes it does have some interesting information, so we've changed the decision and made it into an Approved Entry.
We are totally happy for you to input if you think we've got it wrong. So thanks for pointing this out ... We *are* listening.

Thanks Peta. As I said to Mark I would have accepted it if you had rejected it but am pleased that is not the case.
Jimi X, My very own Don Quixote!
With regards to my other outstanding articles which appear to have been sat around for six months in one case, Stop Motion Animation Programmes originally got sent to me so I sent it back. Did it make it out the door again to another sub-ed because I haven't heard anything?

Peta, if you get a moment please pop on over to the art department and thank them for the wonderful graphic they put up with the dish sculptures article. What I want to know is how the dishes can move around so much and not fall. It doesn't work that way in my sink
