How badly I'm fighting off the urge to spoof your "what can I do" post and write something from the viewpoint of your upstairs neighbor complaining about how my downstairs neighbor is a being a pain about a little noise.
I figured as amusing as it would be for me, people around here don't really know me well enough for me to pull off something like that.

Also due to the fact that many have suffered noise and know how stressful it can be. Also I undertand that one third of people have had to move due to neighbour noise in UK.

I remember once in college when I wasn’t feeling well and tried to take a nap sometime in mid afternoon. Lying there in bed I could hear and clearly discern 5 different television programs or songs. Oh yes quite restful.
If it helps consider that if you snap and go postal on the guy no jury would convict.

To be honest I would try to avoid that!
I would much rather come to some arragement that he has TV on loudly when I am out, but of course he won't talk to me, lol!

I don't think moving is the way to go. It doesn't sound like there are any guarantees that the next place would be any better. Maybe you could work on a way to get rid of him. I don’t suppose he would enjoy the smell of curry cooking every night coming through the floor.
