I came across a tinnitus entry last week which * I think * you wrote in 2004. It looked like the author had legged it until we *talked* on the heads up thread this evening and my head started buzzin' anyway. I'm a fellow tinnitusite 'sept mine is caused by medications in childhood. Is it still with you?

Strewth, someone actually read my entry!
yes still got it, partly caused by loud music when younger, but also caught Labyrinthitus around a year ago which I think made it worse, it can be really loud sometimes.
I had ENT tests around a year ago and my left ear particulary is damaged, the vertigo part of labyrinthitus has mainly gone, but when I get a cold I get ear aches particularly in left ear, as I have now, it gives a slight feeling of room turning (vertigo), and pain at plates touching or loud TV, etc.

Hmmm, I have had it for about 20 years I get the high pitch whine you describe but also get clicks that sound like nightime in Africa (crickets). I have recently noticed that it is worse when I am tired. I also get ear ache in the left ear... Did you take meds for the tinnitus or the labyrinthitis?

Don't know what you read in the guide, but if you put in this in search box you will get my whole story with medication taken, etc.

That is the correct spelling, the number is A3404675, although the number never seems to go to the page.
