How is the god doing? Did you decide what finish to put on him, or how to mount him? smiley - thepost readers want to know. Give my best to your lady wife as well.

Hello, Elektra.

Ms Stress is not too bad at present. Due another chemo treatment this afternoon but the previous one didn't 'seem' to be quite so harsh on her (but harsh enough, dammit) so here's hoping for today's…
She finds she can be up & about for two or three sessions a day, for half or maybe an hour or so at a time and, a few 5 or 10 minute ones when I insist...

- - - -

The Green Man has moved, often, to a new bit of the fence. I don't seem to be able to please him at all in the places I've tried. I may have to cut a swathe for him, reluctantly.

I hadn't actually forgotten, though other things keep getting in the way.

The finish is a coat of Rice Bran Oil, kept wet for half an hour while it soaks in, then allowed to dry for a week or so.
Repeat.
Repeat
(though the second didn't seem to do much & the third, nothing … but 'seem' isn't enough to have confidence, eh?

Currently he has a couple of bits of stick loosely screwed off-centre lengthwise, hooked onto a garden trellis, which seems to work well enough to be not overly concerned about security and which allows him to be moderately mobile.

I will try to finish off the series … perhaps he doesn't actually Have To Be in His final place...

Tell her that we are thinking of you both fondly and are trying to send her some good vibes to help her feel better. Maybe you should go out and try to score a joint of marijuana for her, unless that is illegal in NZ. It seems to help some of the more drastic effects of chemo.

As regards to the Green Man ---he has done quite a job of keeping you busy no matter where he is. We are all waiting with bated breath for you to conclude that smiley - thepost series. Thanks for commenting on Willem's articles. I know other people read him as well but I don't like to be the only cheerleader all the time. he might think I'm a cougar stalking him smiley - yikes. Have a good week and weekend down there.

Well now, Elektra, not so easy at the moment. I'm in schtuck at present - things going wrong, like the disputer hard drive more or less simultaneously with the backup drive, which means I have a new hard drive, am awaiting a new backup drive - and am thus without, e.g. Writer, spreadsheet… photo app …

It will just have to wait for a few days - & then until i can figure out how to get it all working - - and, and then get it all working together.

I'll look back on this time
and smile
but not yet awhile

Sorry for all your computer aggrevation, Rod. Hopefully you'll get it sorted out eventually. Don't let it grieve you too much.

Well, apart from the new on-board disk, I now have a new backup drive and am back on line after the little man came to set me up.

Huge amount of stuff completely lost but nearly as much reconstituted - where the e!! does it all come from?

Ms Stress is bearing up remarkably well... but slowly sinking for all that.

I'll try to get a final Green Man entry ready for smiley - thepost in the next year or so but in the meantime, all my best thoughts to youanim.

Rod
