Hello Elektra, nice to hear from you again

Ms Stress is nearly at the end of her good week - next (5th out of 6) chemotherapy treatment on Thursday and then she'll be going downwards for a week then gradually lifting ready for the next... and after that, another busy time of tests and checks and, hopefully, some good news. Hmm.


That carving isn't done yet, by any means - barely even started.
Whenever I get to doing some more to it, I find myself trying to talk myself through it and sometimes wonder if a whole series would be appropriate - for myself too, as it might help to keep me focussed.

Things are mixed here in the podes. DG has found more work but my computer went kaput and we don't have the ready to fix it. I'm still hunting the wild position available.

Glad your wife is doing OK--will send good thoughts her way next week.

Ms Stress - should have been chemo today but her blood wasn't right for it this morning so... next Wed (assuming Nurse Maude finds her blood OK on Tues & it stays good until Wed am...)

Anything at this point, just fighting ageism I think, but it has been so long that perhaps I am just put in unemployable category.

Unemployable... yeah, had a taste of that, too - too old for what I'd been doing.
A few months in the supermarket - first filling shelves then put on to the cardboard crusher.
A few months as washer-upper (better than the supermarket, but not much).
Finished off for 2 - 3 years as security guard (nights) in a car-maker's office block and, with a good boss, it was better than tolerable, though I'm not sure I've got over the daytime sleepies yet!
