My mistake. I thought you were outlining the fact that personal details might reduce the (certainly my) sense of fascination. And one (this one anyway) is constantly aware of the lack of privacy.

ps I think it is Biriyani who is not keen on scousemen.. I would have been glad if it was... and I am now getting used to the 'public' state of h2g2.. this way there can be no 'nasty' messages in private as there are on other sites.. so it has it's benefits too...
