Hello?
"Challenging floor" was one of the last entries in my RL guest book.
Just thought I'd share that..

Hello
'Challenging floor'? Who wrote that? What do you think it meant? You have a RL guestbook?
So many questions...

My mother....
She was right too - we had an interesting wooden floor for a while.
And yes, we have a book - if people stay we tend to forget to make them sign it (but I understand this is traditional, also).

Very traditional: then you get to write in it yourself ("Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for the stay in your wonderful home which has been a well-nigh religious experience and has changed my life" etc.)
An 'interesting' wooden floor? Is that 'interesting' as in ornate inlaid scrollwork or 'interesting' as in 'unsuitable for rollerskating further than six inches or so'?

interesting as in having rather more in the way of peaks and troughs than traditionally found on one's kitchen floor..
I swear we still step over the peaks. Wooden floors, washing machine leak, expansion..........
Not quite as impressive as the parquet volcanoe I once witnessed though, proper brick parquet (they don't make it like that any more).

Ah! *takes off rollerskates*
A parquet volcano? What, with linoleum lava and everything?
(Actually, brick parquet - can't remember the last time I saw that either)
Erm, Gadarene? Would it be all right if I added you to my friends list, by the way? I've been meaning to for a while, but I thought it would be good form to ask

Hey, no, thankyou
And if you'd like the floor a bit flatter, I can probably lay my hands on a lawn roller somewhere
Key: Complain about this post
