Yeah but, you see... emm, broadband is kinda useful if you need to use the phone occasionally, ya know?

You need to use the phone at almost 1am?
The takeaway shops are so irresistable.

Nah, hun, I use the dialup at 1am 'coz I needs da phone free during the day. It is quite tiresome, really, the kids want feeding as well occasionally. All vey distracting, you know.

I'm going to be in dial up for the next two months. Does that mean I'm part of the cool and froody set again
How much padding does that sock have? I was wondering if I bang my head against the half a brick thinking it was a wall I'd get less bruising than the other brick wall I'm banging my head against

It's Sunday morning now, but nothing sunny about it. It's alright though because we need more rain and this time it's raining properly

we have a but I am not about to venture outdoors to look at it properly. Fireworks are deafening, the smell of sulphur permeates the air. Way too spooky for me

I thought a bomb had gone off earlier. Was expecting fire engines and different kinds of flashie lights.

but also moment earlier in the evening:
My big strong Trog started out of his sofa laden 'infrontofthetelly' sleep with a daft expression on his face. When I asked him what was wrong, he said 'I was about to suggest we go to the bomb shelter'...
I was a tad gobsmacked, to say the least... then we both burst out laughing.
Just a normal Saturday night 'chez Neanderthal'
