Here is what is quoted Frank, i am just curious about the story?
By Shigemi Sakamaki Jnr.

My esteemed father is commander from midget submarine HA-19 that is destroyed in pre attack on Pearl Harbor in December 7th 1941, when he was caught and imprisoned.
Nothing was said about our crews of Nippon midget submarine. And no photo of crew have been printed, as all crew is themselves dwarfs and midgets and were all dressed in Disney type Dwarf suits! Problems is these tinny brave men must be in special barrack and be kept insulated from outside influence. These gallantry “Kamikaze” crew became awarded highest Nippon decoration for the sacrificial for our Emperor.

Hi Beniton,
See what you mean, sounds like a load of old whats its name.
The story is actually fact. Japanese midget submarines did try to attack Pearl Harbour. We did not find out at the time though a couple of years ago there was a documentary on it. There was at least one prisoner taken and interrogated the Americans had film of that. It gave his name and part of his story. There was film also of the midget submarine washed up and flooded on the shore so that is fact.
My memory does not run to much else about the story and there was definitely nothing about Disney outfits.
The Japanese Navy were a very well drilled and proud force, I cannot imagine them doing anything as stupid as dressing up for what was virually a one way run, they would have worn their uniform with pride.
Although they were the enemy we have to give them their due as good fighting men, both the Germans and the Japanese gave good account when they fought. Some men I knew who fought in the Desert war also said the Italians were very good soldiers on the most part and had to be forced into surrender lots of the time.
If people want to post stories like that I pity them. Why do it if they are not giving their names so we can see what hero's they are. I go straight to the personal page and if nothing is written about themselves I smile and walk away.
Regards Frank.

Beniton,
Just put down the facts, they are true or the documentary would not have been made.
Had you thought the writer may also have seen that documentary and thought he would try a little hood winking at our expense. As they would say in the Army "put them through the tank wash then white wash them" dont stand still.
Regards Frank.
