Please read below carefully and tell me how you fell about coincidences, there is three in all, this is the first one:
Abraham Lincoln was elected to congress in 1846.
JF Kennedy was elected to congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. JF Kennedy was elected to president in 1960.
The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters. Both were concerned with civil rights. Both wives lost a child while living in the whitehouse.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both presidents were shot in the head.
Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
I will send you the next one when you have read this, beniton

Here is the middle one:
Lincoln’s secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy’s secretary was named Lincoln.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon who secceeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
John Wikes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy was born in 1939. Both assassins were known by their three names. Both names were composed of fifteen letters.
Lincoln was shot at a theatre named “Kennedy”. Kennedy was shot in a car called “Lincoln”.

Here is the last one,
Booth ran from the theatre and was caught in a warehouse. Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a theatre.
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
And heres the Kicker. A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland. A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe
What do you think? yours Beniton

Hi Beniton,
Being a hard headed Notherner I have always doubted coincidence. I have heard those stories before, they are not new as it was used by the people who claimed Kennedy was shot by the CIA or the Mafia.
Saying that as a very young soldier in a somewhat traumatic few months I did see things that made me not so hard headed. The saying "There are more things in heaven and earth than we will ever know about" rings true to me.
You hear strange things and it makes you wonder. I am not in any way religious but have been on my knees before today hedging my bets. I would tip my cap to a Mosque or a Synagogue in passing in those times just getting the best odds. I guess the answer is we are all closet believers in something. Are we credulous of the supernatural? Do we have irrational fear of the the unknown? Only we can answer such questions about ourselves and in my case I like to see the full and overwhelming evidence before I run away screaming.
Nice to talk to you away from that cat fighting thread with hundreds of postings and I have rolled about laughing at some of your answers. I loved the one "I have a picture of a Spitfire" it said it all, putting the poster having a go at you in his place. Keep it up and sorry I cannot get into discussion on this one it is "what do we believe in" after all.
Got to go finish off in the garden now on this sunny day.
Regards Frank.
