Who are we?

Hi Peter,
Read, digested and it solved a problem in my mind as to how those two nearly always got consecutive postings on the site, well spotted Peter.
As to the rest dont give up, I am the type who throws questions or statements into the ring to see what comes about. It is a style of management I learned in an agressive world in charge of very hard men, you sank or swam and I always swam.
I love history and read masses of books many of which you mention. I do not distrust them or say they are wrong. Not being a deep researcher as you are more a "If I find it interesting or something I wish to know more about" I will then spend hours in the Library's around here including the Historical and technical libraries of the colleges. In Other words if it interests me I will dig so deep kangaroo droppings come up.
I hate the trend of denigration to our hero's and leaders during a time when we teetered on the brink of the abyss. They were the right people in the right place and I thank the lord at the right time. Some of the young bucks think it a feather in their caps if they can bring down those hero's, I have a word for them but it would be bleeped.
I have learned much about many things because you get stuck into the deep discussions, much of it I did not even know about such as what it was like being in Italy in wartime. That alone was well worth the read and an eye opener to some one near your age on the other end of things.
Sometimes Peter my sense of humour comes over a little heavy but no offence is ever meant so never give up on me.
Regards Frank.

Frank

No need for explanations, you shine through as an honest man and always have done. You always have something constructive to say even when opinions differ.

The trend of denigration that you deplore is 'revisionism'; my fault for using dry academic technical terms smiley - smiley

But on that other matter, what a turn up for the books!!

Keep smiling,

Peter
