Hi Peta!
I was using a feedback link to have a whinge about the loss of the BBC AS Guru pages when there's still one year group doing them. So, this isn't true until September 2008:
"AS Guru no longer matches the AS Level subject specifications and as a result, the site has been retired."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/asguru/index.shtml
I was a bit cross, as the Guru pages are useful! The new specifications are coming, but schools are still teaching the old ones for another year so why have the BBC removed the support already? What about all the students taking AS in summer 2008?
I put in my message that if they wanted to consult a teacher I'd be happy to volunteer and offer my advice. I also put that if they wanted to know I was a real person, they could check with past and/or present h2g2 staff, including you. I hope that's OK.
Rant over. Is all well with you and yours?

Thank you! I'll wait and see if they get back to me and see if I can be of any help. But even if they just restore the Guru pages for one more year then that will be excellent news.
Not so little blurbs these days, I bet. Mine are good too. Sunshine is almost 21 and in her final year of a BSc in Forensic Science with hopes of being a real life CSI!
Moonlight took her A levels early, some at 16 and some at 17, so she's now waiting to grow a bit older so that she can take her deferred uni place for a BA in Drama. She's not done much with her gap year I'm afraid, but she was a film extra and has some seasonal casual work at the Post Office lined up.
They all grow up so fast these days
Key: Complain about this post
