Hi, hope you are feeling well and rested.. ~hugs~... Me was just going over your things you would like to place into The Post Room 101... and me thinks you have already thought that there might be a problem... ~sad grin~
Your first one ( My Mum) is someone that most researchers would not know so would have no way of responding to in the votes. Plus it is felt by the Post Team that actual people would not be a good idea to place into Post Room 101... Thus your third thing ( HPB ) is not eligible either me is afraid...
Your second entry is fine... so if you would like to come up with two others items/things that we are all happy with putting up for vote then please do so... Me looks forward to reading about your offerings...

Murpheys - Lets face it, when you go to an irish pub or bar it defeats the object to buy fosters. The situation demands you buy and irish drink. Now the three main Irish drinks that are served by the pint and known to all are Guinness, Murpheys, and Caffreys. Now ive never had Caffreys so that can stay out, but Murpheys...
I went to my cousins wedding about 6 months ago and horror of horrors they had no Guinness. My Grandad (from Ireland himself) pointed at Murpheys and said 'its the same thing really'. The nice poured the pint, and indeed apart from being lighter in color it was pretty much the same. Till of course the morning after when it felt like half the world and his wife had trappled over my head repeatedly. Evil stuff.
Boy racers - You all know the type. Your casually walking around and then 'VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM' a car passes within several inches of you and barely misses parked cars. It then stops abrubtly having run out of road. Now i dont mind the sort that make the car look all great and then drive it when theres no one around to annoy/hit/scare witless, but on a very short road with speed bumps (meaning when they go down it they go fast, stop, go fast, stop) it just seems pointless.
The BBC's coverage of the Judo -
I was tempted to put TV programmes which show the non existant Judo chop, but i thought id get this gripe out the way instead.
About three years back i did quite a bit of Judo. I eventually got my green belt, but was never any good at competition (my weight to size ratio usually put me in the open weight - i fought either yokozuna's big brother, or King Kongs son). However for all my loses i loved to watch it. For the same reason people watch boxing i reckon. They like me know that the fight could go on for ages, yet it only takes one punch to change it (in the case of Judo, this would be a ten poin score through a throw, hold or submission).
So having not seen a Judo fight for several years when the olympics rolled on i was chuffed to bits. I had the lovely interactive service to watch all the Judo my little heart desired. I saw two fights in total. The first was the young british lad fighting the greek (which they showed repeatedly) who lost through Ippon (knockout) in probibly the worst peice of judging i have ever seen. And a young Japanesse girl against another Brit (which was bloodly amazing), which the Japanesse girl winning through a hold.
That was it. Out of two weeks of sport only five minutes of Judo. In its place, day after day of horses pratting about, people messing about in boats, and commentators informing me that despite seeing nothing i wanted to, it /had/ been an exciting day!
First interactive olympics? farce more like

The second two seem fine... but the first might cause a problem with the Beeb as its a Trade Name... Irish Beers would be fine to put in... but as you only want one... then maybe it's not such a good idea... could you possibly come up with another item for your list...

How about all irish beverages apart from guinness, after all guinness is in the edited guide

Post Team Posted Sep 1, 2004
How about the title... 'All Irish Beers that are not Guinness'... Me thinks that could go in without a problem as you are not picking out one beer to be put in...
