Paris McMahon
Paris McMahon has got to be the coolest name anyone could have and but for a cruel twist of fate there would even be a real guy running around with that name. Unfortunately the new born Paris had chosen for him at birth his mother's maiden-name (rather than his father's name of McMahon) as his parents weren't married. Suffice to say - to shield him from some possible embarassment - it wasn't McMahon or anything approaching that cool. Think Paris Braithwaite or something else equally non-exotic and quintessentially English and tawdry.
Anyway if I could choose my name Paris McMahon would be it - it kind of sums up the kinda guy I'd like to think I could be. Cultured sophisticated, and a bit mediteranean - whether Greek or French - with a rough edge of Celtic testosterone thrown in for good measure. I can imagine Paris being an inspiring extreme sports athlete, a gifted musician and /or writer and probably a great lover of women. With a name like that one would hope Paris would be a politically-correct kind of secret agent / freedom fighter only working for ecologically friendly and right-thinking peoples of the world. Err ... actually thinking about it he'd probably be a mercenary who'd work for anyone but it's nice to think of him as an updated version of the Saint for the moment!Suffice to say my name isn't Paris McMahon - there's a bit of French but almost no Celt or Greek AND I'd probably have to spell it several times for you to get it right. My real name doesn't hint at astonishing athletic or romantic prowess either and certainly doesn't make you think of gritty freedom fighters which is probably just as well as none of the above really apply. But since I need a pen name or moniker well I figured what the hell it's all in the name ....
