Hi Katherine

As one door closes another door opens and here we are, figuratively kicked out of the BBC site, brushing our clothes and licking our wounds, but please read on.

Today, as you well know, the BBC WW2 Peoples War shut up shop (at least to further entries) and we, the 'customers' were expected to quietly fade into the sunset, except, of course we had no intention of doing so and some of us are now ensconced at: http://2ndww.blogspot.com/
where we have opened the Second World War Blogsite.

Before we left the BBC site you were kind enough to send us a much appreciated 'thank you' note and this is now proudly displayed on our Blog.

Please drop in so that we can resume our friendly sparring and bring all of your friends with you.

With all good wishes

Ron (one member of the Gang of Four)

Ron -
It would appear that I have been demoted to the ranks and now ,merely have nickname - as always - probably did something wrong !
anyway - I made it along with the other three of the four.
Cheers

Hi Tom

I see you made it......Well done that there Trooper!

I went to your Personal Space and see that they have got you labelled as :Researcher 3105882.

No come on man... you can do a lot better than that....let's have all your CV so that when you next get into a scrap with that Russian lady she will at least know who she's dealing with !

See you around

Ron

Ron,
Me too, they gave me a new number when I took Peter's advice and joined up as they asked. There is nothing on that page from WW2 so I have asked how to get it all over there if this page closes down in a month or so. Proud owner of two pages on this site,

Frank

There is nothing to stop you from going back to your personal page on the WW2 site.
Once there,
1. Highlight all the stuff on your page
2. Hit CTRL C to copy it into memory
3. Go back to your Personal Page on h2g2 (They refer to it as "MY SPACE")
4. Go into EDIT
5. Paste in all the old stuff (CTRL V)
6. Bingo !

Tried that and guess what my list of friends went on the page no problem but were not live, I could not contact anyone from there.
Jimster had told me I can keep the old page and use it as normal, he will transfer the other stuff when he gets back to work from his sick bed.
