Traveller in Time waiting for 'The Mighty Boosh'
"It is on tonight about 23:20 BBC GMT
And on another topic, perhaps inform other collective members about your Personal Space beeing on HooToo. The other day I ran into a completely confused Collective Member. Well I hope they understand my directions
.
How about a link on the bottom of your 'Introduction' giving a direct link in HooToo to your Message Center, < <./>/dna/h2g2/F134328</.> > then they are given the 'Sign-In' before they post.
I know, this is just a nasty bugfix, but it is better then nothing. "

Hey,
I just did read your posting.
Strange that the postings under an Entry never go up in the list of "conversations". Maybe different items, but to keep an eye on both would make it much easier that way.
Just another day of trying to understand "colours" in painting with water.
Step by step I want to know how and why and what specific words mean.
That means, I feel like a giant black hole and it tákes a cosmic effort to understand the details of your posting right now.
But I'll keep reading it untill I understand.
Anyhow, if you mean to say that I "should" take a link to my Journals,
I already dó so in the Entry itself.
Quote; If you click at Alfredo's Journal List you'll find a complete summary of just all my Journal Entries. They contain a great variety of subjects and personal impressions. Some are autobiographic stories , like "Searching and meeting a prior love after thirty years" and "Johnson, the Captain", etc, etc.
Maybe you mean to say that it is better to put that link down at the bottom of my introduction?
Well, I’m from Amsterdam you know; sex, drugs and rock & roll So my English isn’t always good enough for fully understanding a posting.

Yes, I feel connected with the BBC. F1951574"?thread=
Anyhow, I mainly watch BBC programs and almost néver commercial ones.
Can't stand the adds and I am more interested in docu's then movies
and so it feels good at BBC world and BBC 2.
The ónly reason why I should go "digital" one of these years, is to be able to watch BBC Four (and the German Arte, although they speak German in English movies..............................)

Traveller in Time on his head
"I forget to watch half the programs on television
About the 'site confusion' as I tried to discribe before. You are active on Collective as well, and on Collective I came by a thread about a member who could not post to your space. When anyone from any of the other subsites < <./>/dna/hub/communities</.> > visits your Personal Space they will see it in their own skin. That is, more or less, the message boards do not show any content just a redirection. However these 'visitors from other sites' do not see your Space is on HooToo and if they have not 'Signed-In' to HooToo jet, they will get a weird message like you can not post until you are Signed in. Weird as they see it on their skin. . .
Using an explicit link: < <./>/dna/h2g2/F134334</.> > makes them having to sign in before they post a message.

I got the point ánd maybe the solution;
"And finally; if you would like to share anything you like, you can also use Alfredo's message centre. (use the button down,"new conversation")"
I hope that the link will be visible and functional for anyone, anywhere. Can you check??
By the way; what I call a "button"; is that common language at www?

So if all is as I want it to be, then anyone who passes by at Collective can write immediately in my "message centre", and if
someone wants to reply any Journal of mine, he/she has to registrate first. For me, that's a fine balance.
I hope for the Collective visitors.
I also write at Points of View and Channel Four and BBC radio.
Maybe the change will have it's effect there too.

Traveller in Time viewing the Personal Space from the hub
"Seems with me
The 'Introduction Page' or 'Personal Space' is only available on the community sites. The message boards have 'blocked' them from view. However many Members of the Points of View board are more or less familiar with the existance of the community sites. "

Yes, and thats the reason I often write my own link under my replies.
If anything can be better, let me know.
And thanks a lot for your kind hints.
That makes the world gor round.

No, it suddenly goes all wrong.
Now it doesn't show the messagecentre, but the Journal list.
I'll have to repair that if I can.

Traveller in Time a little confused
"What I did see was your Journal Forum. Though anything hard linking to HooToo will do the job as far as I am concerned. "

Well, although I, myself feel and see only confusion, my conclusion is, that it's all O.K..
Why? because if someone at Collective clicks on "Alfredo's messagecentre" he/she
indeed comes into "Alfredo's messagecentre" and can post there if he or she wants.
So I am going to bed and try to get some sleep
and maybe I'm all wrong, but unaware.

Oh, is that so.
Is it possible that I get to see " A...message centre" and yóu get to see "A..Journal" ?????????????????????????

Alfredo Posted Mar 5, 2006
If so, then I have to find out tomorrow what's wrong
and the best thing for me to do is,
to exactly follow your advice as a "visitor" of my Entry and if you get to see "A.. message centre" while I get to see "A..Journal" then I will change the URL again.
Very strange, indeed
