Oh, that's funny
Fb, I didn't pick up on the spelling, I looked at it and just knew it was an Fb thread. Funny how you get to know a person's style
Re. purses and wallets, I have the same thing about wallets as you, but I am find that they have made the pockets for cards smaller now and mine don't fit! Not that I have many but I like them in in a small wallet, not loose.
Glad you are getting paid at last Fb.

Moonraker, I don't like shoes either. I wear sandals or imitation Crocs. I bought some good quality boots about three years ago, and the weather has not been bad enough to warrant wearing them. Shoes are only worn if it would be inappropriate to wear anything else.

Hi Fb
Like Websailor , I too realised it was an Fb thread as soon as I saw the header. - I hope everything goes well.
Have you sorted out with the removal firm? Reading through the thread, I wasn't quite sure.

Hello ZSF I haven't heard which removal firm has got the job. It's six days until they're due to come and empty the house I have a clear favourite and I know they will be the cheapest quote, so here's hoping
I'm still in fair chaos as I sort, make piles, pack, make more piles, phone friends to give stuff away and fill the bins It's a marathon. It never crossed my mind until six weeks ago that I'd be moving, let alone moving internationally, so I've been caught on the hop!
Still; there is a light at the end of the tunnel
How are things with little ? He must be back at school now. I hope this term goes well for him

We're just back from holiday at my parents on the IOW and I thought little was due back at school today. He told me that the year 7s were due at school today, but the rest of the school started tomorrow. On phoning the school first thing, with little in full school uniform, I found he was right, so I'm unexpectedly still at home until tomorrow.
I couldn't imagine moving at the moment. The amount of things to chuck out would be horrendous. I'm not sure how I'd sort my library out. I'm just trying to work out how long you've had there to accumulate stuff.
I hope things go well for you, Fb !

I've been over here in Australia for three and a half years, but I am an inveterate book-buyer, kitchen gadget accumulater and now, of course so I have mountains of things from which I cannot possibly be parted
This time I'm not chucking heaps of stuff away; I'm keeping everything except the rubbish
How was the IOW holiday? (I haven't checked other threads, so forgive me if you've written about it elsewhere.) I hope it was relaxing for both of you.
And did you enjoy your unexpected extra day at home with little ?

Do you want a hand with those yoghurt pots?

Oh yes please, Skanks
I am really fed up with packing and tidying - and then untidying when I find another pile of stuff to sort through - and filling bins with rubbish - and trying to keep on top of the paperwork and adminny things that have to be done
And of course all this has to fit around the seemingly endless stream of goodbye dinners, lunches and drinks each day

Tell you what, then, I'll sort out the cocktails. I do a mean mojito, and my Manhattans are pretty good, too. A couple of those and the packing will be a lot easier, and we can drink 'em while we're waiting for all the wellwishers to come around

I can do Margaritas, but I prefer them without the triple sec, lime and salt. And occasionally without the glass
