Books and films are not always the same thing 
I don't want to read about what any of the characters should or shouldn't look like, or how funny so and so was in such and such a scene, or how great the ending was because.....
No hard feelings at all. I just decided that I want to see the movie without too many preconceptions, that's all.

As far as I could tell, the thread was stating what was missing. An expected attribute of movies when compared to the books they are based on.

I'm just saying that books are usually better than movies because movies always leave stuff out.
On a lighter note: have you ever wondered who decided to leave bits out of the first movie ever made from a book, why they decided to do that, and what movies would be like if nothing got left out?
