you need to understand that 99.9% of the real women look just like you so please get off the high horse about being ugly. Maybe you wont get a job modelling haute couture but so what. Being real is not about that anyway, those models aren't real for the most part anyway.
Keep your head up and look people in the eye, if you're at least half way presentable most people wont even care. The rest of the people you cant do anything about anyway. When I get dressed up no one has said anything to me good bad or otherwise, until I let them know whats going on.
Relax then, and let the world know that you are enjoying yourself then everyone has a chance to also.

Do you know of others here, that are part of the "CD/TG community" here at h2g2? If you do know of any and they are "open" then we could have our own little group (probably off site). So far I know of no harassment issues but why encourage it.
