Hello FamousFi,smiley - ok
Just thought I'd pop in, as I haven't spoken to you before, which is surprsing as you have been on the BBC site for a little while. Please drop by some time and chat. I only come to H2G2 during w**k hours, 09:30/19:00, so I do apologise if you drop by, and I'm not in. Help yourself to smiley - cakesmiley - redwinesmiley - alesmiley - choc or whatever. Hiya Neal,
Lovely to meet you smiley - ok. We've probably not chatted before due to my infrequent appearances here, much like yourself I find that I'm only on here during working hours ...so often weeks go past without a visit and then I remember how terribly addictive it all is! I had a wee look at your page and found we had some things in common. I'm a bit of a birder myself, but not so keen to go on jaunts all over the country in mad pursuit so I guess that means I'm not a twitcher either. I more happy just keeping an eye out for the birds that cross my path on weekend walks and in the garden. I'm also into cooking, but need to stick to a recipe to avoid disaster.....otherwise I have a tendency to over cook and over spice so I'm off for a trawl through your pages for some inspiration!!

Welcome FamousFi,
Pleased to meet you. Glad to see I'm not the only one into our feathered friends. Must admit, never seen the point of twitching. Why be so environmentally unfriendly to tear all over the country to see a bird that is probably completely kna**ered, and will keel over any day, only for 200 yobs come tearing over the hill and scaring it to death? Not my cup of tea.
At the moment my favourite sight is the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust, Barnes, London, as it is only 30 mins away. It gets better and better as the years pass.
WRT cooking, I rarely use a recipe these days, as it is usually a case of 'when do I feel like cooking' and 'what is in the kitchen'
Ok, this is what I've got, Ready-Steady-Cook!!'
I'll call it Neal's Nourishing Nosh.
The secret is always have a couple of Campbell's Condensed Soup handy, as they are great for sauces.
I usually use either Mushroom or Celery as a base. Seems to work, with garlic and hot chili sauce. (My secret ingredients)
Anyway off threading. Catch you later.
