Do you think you can you find someone with a good knowledge of birds to rescue this as our tribute to him.
You will find that whoever it is can rely on plenty of support.

We need help you have been mentioned as a knowledgeable person in this area could you consider helping or suggesting someone.... please

I knew this was going to be a real headache and I can do something with it, but it depends on how you want it to work in the Guide.

I have a number of reference books on these subjects, and think I'd split it in three, being shorebirds, seabirds and wildfowl.

I guess it would be best as overviews of these, then expand on each family group as separate entities.

I am happy to do this, although it will not be done in a hurry.

I've already had the Canada goose entry put in the guide - A14540447 although, unbeknownst to me, there was already an entry in the guide - A210646.

Please let me know if you want me to pursue this and if you agree with my idea.

As far as I am concerned that is fine it must be worthy of the guide. It was a pity he did not get round to finishing.

The original idea is to finish it as a memorial in what ever way you please, retaining as much of GT as possable, please ask the others Prof and Lil thair opinion.
