With all the excitement of the photos, i forgot to say. The pictures of your strange plant are under scrutiny. One of the girls at our work has seen this plant before 
and is working on the identification. Theres a place we can send the pictures to, if she can't remember what it is. It may take a while to get the results back, but its now looking hopeful

Hello Jen.
It's very kind of. Both Mum and I will be pleased to know what it is. Unfortunately Mum can't remember where she found it. It was a leaf pinched about 4 years ago, becoming 4 plants, of which this is the only one remaining. It appears to procreate by budding.
