Elam... I know I've run across a name or something like that, somewhere. But since I can't swear to it being the first name of the Cardasian tailor on Star Trek- DS9, I'll have to wait for perhaps a European to respond.

So, how are you doing? I see you in the brain-teaser threads, frequently. Oddly enough, you also always seem to be chatting-up the ladies smiley - biggrin Having only been here a month or so, I've made a limited number of chatty-friends, but the list grows.

Anyway, do have a pleasant one. I tip a smiley - ale to being 44, and another to H2G2 being 5 smiley - biggrin

But thank you for the assumed compliment smiley - biggrin

Hi Rev...
Nice to hear from you, and good of you to pop round.
Yes, Those young ladies keep me amused. They appeared to be the only folk who are here, around my age, so good to meet another. You are welcome to an smiley - ale or 10 on me. They were alsothe first to visit my PS, so another first.
I too am relatively new, and having a warped sense of humour means the word thread is ideal. However I'm also a pedant smiley - evilgrin

Enjoy, and chat soon. Normally around, mon-fri usually between 17:00-19:00.

smiley - cheers

A mutual friend, the lovely B'Elana tells me that you are attending a Meet this season, with a digital camera. It would prove rather interesting to put some faces with names. Might it be reasonable to exchange e-mail addresses sometime for movement of a few photos? Particularly of the fun folk on the word-play threads. Thanks to e-mail, I already know what Lady Bel and family appear like.

Just something for you to ponder.

Hiya Rev,
I did receive your note, but having probs keeping up today, as a little light-handed at w*rk.2 colleagues off, so it's a full 08:20 to 19:10 shift today and tomorrow, and today's the busiest day. By myself tomorrow so don't know what will happen.
I'm not sure on photo front, only coz I'm new to the Photography lark, and haven't managed the old 'Attachment' lark yet. Will certainly have a go when I get the time. Shall post my addy sometime soon on your PS, although rather cautious of giving it out, as I don't want loads of smiley - popcorn flooding it. I have just had to change it, because of that, with all the smiley - headhurts that goes with it. Will advise soon. You could ask B'Elana if I've given it to her. Can't remember.

smiley - cheers

N.

so...Nick, Neville, Nigel, Niel, Noel? mines on my PS, although I don't like it smiley - sadface and prefer either N or smiley - musicalnote. Also St. Scuttlesmiley - mouse on 3N!

For quite a number of years, nearly 45 in fact, people have seen fit to call me Nick. So I guess that one will do.

Should you manage some photos and decipher the attachment bit, do let me know. B'Elana already has several addresses for me. I've also established one as the primary for hootoo'rs to contact me with. Keeps the occassional, hard-to-explain note from popping up in front of the missus. She doesn't quite see the attraction of H2G2, I don't see anything in her day-time 'shows'. We average out. I'll advise you of that address when-ever you see appropriate.

Now please do enjoy your work day. I'm sure we'll meet again on the threads sometime.

smiley - cheers

Brain-burp at the moment, nothing to follow "Karen".

However, by master, I was referring to 'the man is the master of the household' kinda notion. Yours idea, on the other hand, well ...

Have a good one, friend

So, I got totally the wrong end of the stick smiley - erm? It was the 'Wupping' (sic) that led me down that road....still....just makes me think of Mick Jagger and kitchen, lounge and bedroom, but on that note, I'd better stop before I dig myself an even bigger hole...smiley - laugh

And a mostly-fun time had by all, eh? I've heard a bit from Jen, and read Claudia's re-cap. And Lorraine and "Unc" precis. Leaving me a bit more of smiley - envy. But I am looking forward to what-ever libraries or galleries of pics develop.

In general, how are you today? A bit less smiley - headhurts I should hope.

Hi there,
The head smiley - headhurts still feels as though the TA are doing a square-bashing rehearsal, although they are getting out of earshot slowly...Ah the joy of self-inflicted wounds smiley - biggrin...Drinking at 15:00 on a Saturday, with a relatively empty stomach, is not good at this time of life smiley - rofl
It was a good day, apart from the weather smiley - sadface, which was adversely affecting Claudia and Jen. In the end we moved into the sun, and then to the Pub, hence the head.
As per usual, I took too much smiley - crisps, smiley - porkpie, smiley - burger food, so had to bring it all back. Almost killed me, especially as it was a 'Two steps forwards one step back, followed by a little sideways jétée. Managed to get home in one piece.
Yes I have taken the Photos, 20 in total, and if you want to post your addy on my space, I'll e-mail them to you, although I've not worked out how to do thumbnail attachments yet. smiley - laugh
Some of the pictures are a bit fuzzy though.
Drop by and I'll send them.

smiley - cheers

Claudia has already sent one, a 6-pack in the pub. But indeed, the rest can find me here at work, via

Keip dot NJ @ forces dot gc dot ca

Perhaps 3 to 5 at a time to ease your ISP, depends on the sizes.

And what do you mean, at your age? Plus or minus 2 years, I'm there as well. And I'm YOUNG da*n it !!! (As I say to the mirror every morning)

My mail-box here should be good for large measures, I just didn't know what your carrier might allow as limits. Fire away as time permits.

My DSL hook-up didn't do well, using the carriers recommendations. So I defaulted to my then-25-years of electronics. Much brandy and a lot of by-guess-and-by-golly. It was working beautifully in an hour. smiley - laugh It was that or the much bigger hammer. smiley - laugh

Actuall, with a 5+ MB mail-box at home, why don't you just ship there? Reads as

Claudia and I were wondering, did you take the pics at 320 x 200 resolution? Or reduce them for easier shipping? SHe says it is quite a nice camera you have, so I was curious.

Again, thanks and smiley - cheers, friend.

Hi, yes I shipped at low sizing, as I am no smiley - geek and haven't worked out thumbnails yet. The camera is a Canon Powershot G5, which I bought at a very competitive price. Slightly more than I could afford, but the deal was too good. 5 megapixel and similar, but not, an SLR, which I would have prefered. I can send them full size if you wish....up to you. No worries my end.....

Post 20

The Reverend Something or Other

Oh yes, full sized would be preferred. Perhaps a couple at a time until either my mail-box is full or they've gone. I have quite a battery of editing software that can take them down and still retain quality.

And yes, the entire Canon series is quite impressive, we have several at work. I "only" have a Kodak 2 MB pixel, but it does some fine family shots, especially with active grand-kids. smiley - laugh
