It's not even 11 yet! Have you arranged round 2?
Oh my god, I can't believe
Baconlefeets Posted Sep 17, 2005
I know,
"Around 2"?
Apparently, he'd arranged with his mates a couple of weeks ago to meet them and go out. So he got a tect about 10 and apologised many, many times, then went to meet them.
I was just starting to get into it as well

Oh! "round 2"
I said I'd speak to him on manday, then he said "No, before that" Sohopefully, I'll get a text or call from him tomorrow.
He is pretty lovely though

Ditch him. If he can't tell what's important now, then he'll never learn.
Trust me, it'll save you time in the long run.

But I was pretty shy, not as bad as I can be, but still...
I don't know! He asked to go out again sometime next week after work, but I don;t know whether he was just being nice or what

Yeah, but someone who arranges to meet his mates on the same night as he's going out on a date? I mean, he can see them any time of the day or night. If he's worth seeing, he should give you his *undivided attention* for at least the length of his *first date* with you! If he can't even be bothered with that, then he ain't worth it, IMO.

I hope you get the call or text tomorrow. He might have been genuine. I've left similar situations for a pre-arranged meet with mates, but my mates mean a lot more to me than anyone else. Probably says more about me than it should.
Anyway, if you liked him I hope he gets in touch.

But we only arranged to meet yesterday and his meet with his mates was arranged a couple of weeks ago Apparently.
I know what you're saying, but he seemed so damned nice and sweet when we were talking.
I dunno!

Well, there you are. 2 differing opinions about dating. I personally would only arrange one in an evening.

Did he ask you if you wanted to join him with his mates, or was it too much of a lads thing?
I agree with RF, it’s bad behaviour for a 1st date, but if he calls you for another soon, I think it’s worth a 2nd chance. Don’t put up with that behaviour twice though.
I think it’s perfectly normal to be a bit shy on a 1st date. He’s the one with the problem, not you!

Baconlefeets Posted Sep 17, 2005
Me too, but if he genuinely forgot...
But then again, maybe he just did it as an excuse to run away.

It was a very laddish thing. It was bad behavious and he said that he wouldn't normally do that sort of thing then apologised lots.

You weren't the only nervous person tonight so maybe he arranged a time to meet his mates then got obsessed by it. It happens.
He'll either call you or he won't. Give him a chance, but not 2 chances. See what happens over the next few days.

Friends will forgive you not going out and getting pissed with them. It ain't the end of the world. Sorry to harp on about this, but he sounds like a bit of a twit to me. Certainly has no manners.
