Ben Lomond
Posted Sep 8, 2003
I climbed Ben Lomond yesterday As always when I climb a munroe, I got halfway up and resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't make it to the top but of course I did. And it was wonderful! Nowhere else can you see such magnificent views in your home country and nothing can beat the feeling you have when you get back down. As we drove home Ben Lomond kept appearing because it is one of the most visible hills in Scotland. Seeing it from a distance afterwards, it seemed amazing that we climbed it in under four hours. In fact it took longer to drive to our starting point and back than it did to climb the hill. Anyway I feel v.sleepy and a bit stiff today so I am chilling out on my comp. before starting night duty tonight.

Cosy Chaos
Posted Sep 4, 2003
My little one bedroomed flat has been shocked into awareness as my sister, Jane, her ex husband, Jim, and their two toddlers, Angus and Duncan, have moved in while a door is put into thier kitchen wall. It is amazing how much chaos is created by two tiny little nephews. My birds have been shocked into silence and my geckos are taking refuge under their bark. Jake, on the other hand is having the time of his life because he doesn't have to be left alone when I go off to work. So far I have been here to look after the flat but I dread to think what my home will look like when I come home from work tonight.

Disaster
Posted Jul 30, 2003
Oh my God, disaster has struck!! My fish, of which i had five, have all died but one. I cant believe it, He looks so lonely swimming around the tank on his own! So a tip to all the folk who think their tank is a bit dirty and could do with a clean, If your fish sink to the bottom and cuddle up together after you have added the fresh water, Whip them out of there pronto and into some warmer water cos they'll die if you don't. I wish i had been told this rather than having to learn it first hand. My poor fish were happy little things and always came to see me in the morning and spent their time swimming around a tank rather too big for them.
RIP Vic, Bob, George and Big Red.

Phew
Posted Jul 24, 2003
Thats much better. Ive just figured out how to use GuideML. Its quite complicated but what a difference it makes to your page. I lent my dog, Jake to my sister for the day so that he wouldn't be bored and its definately been worth it.
