Hello Pamela and Emmily.
Pamela, Emmily has used a digibox so she understands the difficulties of not using a computer.
Emmily, Pamela is using a a set top box, which is the problems of digibox but she has to pay for the phone calls too.
I replied to Pamela on the other thread as she Guestbooked me, just thought I would drop in here too.

Hello Emmily.I said I'd come baek when I had a problem.
First question: How do I do a fancy line break like the one on your page.
Second: If I want a line of smilies do I have to write every one or is there an easy way.
Third; How do I get plain blocks of coloured background that I can write on. Thanks. From Pamela.

1. Type in the place where you would like the line.
I will leave the other questions for emmily to answer.

*waves* Hi and Thanks BrownFurby
Hi Pamela, Sorry It's taken me so long to reply.
Ah, so your using what I would call a Web TV, my friend had/has one of those, he didn't get on with it, I can't remember much about it, or what he could do with it.
The fancy line break is a blob from Picture Library the code is
Fraid I don't know of any easy way to insert a line of smilies.
The third question, I really should know, erm I'll get back to you soon on that, or ask someone else too.
If I remember correctly, a Web TV has an address bar. If you see a blob, or something you like on someone's space you can delete the U of thier ID number and replace it with testuserpage or if you see something in an article, where the ID starts with an A delete the A and replace with test. Hope I've explained that ok, and not confused you, it's after 2am and I'm

Hello Emmily. Thanks for the reply. It's taken me three hours .to get a square with writing on. Problem now is it's too high up. I wanted it opposite the picture. How can I close the gap.
From Pamela.

Sorry Pamela, but I think you may need someone more experienced with using colour blocks than me. I've been trying but get the same as you, the colour box above the picture. Suggest you ask at the Guru Home page.
On the picture code you can change the "CENTER" TO "LEFT" or "RIGHT"
Good luck with it

I'm back again Been thinking about your problem, you could try inserting the picture inside the coloured box. You might need to test see if it's better above or below the text.
Another colour box you could try
Enter text here.
You can 'play' with this, changing it until it's how you like it.
The FACE is the font type if you don't have access here's just a few choices - Ariel, Bangle, Tohoma, Verdana
You can find out about colour codes - Web Safe Colour A623242 or Font Colour Code A529715
Have fun

Hello Emmily. I've got another problem now. The first colour block I did yesterday was on the left hand side.It only came out on Alabaster. It wasn't on the other skins, and when I went to EDIT ,the GuideML I'd written for it wasn't on there. I read the FAQs and it said that guide entries can take 24 hours to show up,so I thought it would turn up later. I then wrote in a GuideML for the right hand block. That one has come out too low down,BUT the left hand block has completely disappeared. Can I get it back, or do I have to write it in again? Sorry if I've given you problems. If theres a wrong way to do it, Nobody does it like me. Pamela.

Hi Emmily. Thanks for the compliment. I got some help from Alan M6791 and I looked in the GuideMl Clinic. It is getting easier. I'll do some more poems soon. Drop in again anytime. From Pamela.
