Hi Manda, I'm a bit of a basher out of stuff! I'm starting to get to grips with the facilities here! I like the journals etc, which I've just started to use, they look like they can be good fun! Is there also anywhere you can stick private notes too! I've just been playing right now so don't care who sees it! It would be handy to have a private scratchpad for the research you're doing prior to writing something for more public view! I use more than one computer so leaving it on my PC wouldn't be so handy!
Hope you had a good week-end!

We don't have a "private" scrach pad
We just put it in a guide enrty and work on it from there,
GUIDE ENTRIES can be used for what ever you want, I use one just to keep some links handy like this >> A870815

Thanks Manda!
Tell me how many folk do you look after like this?
Do you choose these folk?
Is there a selection process?
How much time do you put into this?
Its very helpful to me! Did you volunteer to do this sort of thing?

Hi ianheavy
I did volunteer to be an ACE cos I like helping people and I know how confusing it can be here when you fist start
We choose folk as in we look for someone that is new and then introduce ourselfs
The time I put in to it varies, I am on here most nights and a lot of days if I am not working, ( and somedays when I work in the office, but don't tell the boss )
and as for how many, all I can say is, all them that reply to my introduction
and the best part of my job is when someone say "Its very helpful to me"

Hi Manda, thanks for the ace explanation!
Well I hope you don't get an earwigging from your boss!
If there's any thing not in the guide, and I've listed it as an interest, feel free to ask! I'm indebted to you!
I only started using message boards a couple of months ago, and I quite enjoy chatting with my new cyber chums!
Is Manda your real name?
My coffee has cooled down a bit while I've been witing this, will it work as a source of energy for my infinite improbability drive?
Answers to all this and more from your next post?

nnaa, manda is not my real name
it is from the first latter of my real name "M" and the first latter of Mrs manda's real name "A"
so you get "M" and "A" = MandA = manda
OH, and as for your "I'm happily married, which is a testament to my wife's strength of character."
I know the feeling

Hi Manda, thought your name may be constructed like that (do cryptic crosswords)! Anyway in case you worry my wife's not called Heavy!
Thanks to your page, I've now put a poem on the Lost Poetry section! Ta!
Do you ever rebel and have little unhelpful days! I'm not sure I could get on with someone who's always good!

The subject is a lady who is amongst many giving me encouragment to get myself in shape! Which i'm now doing! I still don't enjoy exercise, she does, and has been a great help!
And if I ever see a post like that last one again! I'll shove you in the elevator, cos you'll be anxious about what's coming! Towel or not!

Ah fishing, when I was a lad I ued to get a crate of Newky Brown, and ride my bike over to Horton Kirby. The keep net was filled with the bottles for use during the day, no bait was put on the line, didn't want fish interfering with the afternoon. Some maggots would be thrown in as ground bait from time to time, to make it look like I was doing something! Now and then experienced anglers would stop by and air their knowledge, "you won't catch anything there, too sunny etc etc".
The beauty of this approach, if I'd said to my parents I was off to sit on my backside read private eye and drink all day, I would have had a real earwigging! I'm off fisshing for the day, quite legitimate!
A freind's dad is going to tqake me sea fishing soon, something I've never done! Really looking forward to it!

I like your thinking
When I was younger me and a friend used to go night fishing,
The fishing pool was right next to a pub, so we would go and have one pint before we started fishing,
ok, so we had two pints before we started fishing
ok, so we never landed up fishing,
we ended up sleeping in the car every time
but no one ever said that we was out drinking all night
I have done sea fishing, a lot of people like it and I hope that you do let me know how you get on
