My interest in hootoo declining?
Posted Mar 24, 2008
I recently bought a new laptop, and something strange has happened.
For the first time in years, I no longer have hootoo as my "Homepage" in my web browser.
I wonder if this is the beginning of the end for me here. I just don't seem to have the same amount of time for h2g2 as I used to....
Shame really as I do like the people...

Electoral Success.... Woo hoo!!!
Posted Dec 21, 2007
I have just been elected as the Regional Youth Secretary.
It is an important job and one that I have apsired to for a while and I am really pleased to have got it. It was a bit of a weird situation as it is the first time I have ever stood against an incumbant for a post.
It really is much harder to do this, particularly as the chap involved is a mate who I get on with. The truth is though that I felt that I would be able to devote much more time to the job and consequently be more effective.
However one thing is for sure if I do this role the way I want to it is sure to take up a whole what of my free time, and I also think the extra traveling will mean I will certainly have to purchase a laptop and additional expense I really could do without particularly with my now dead car rotting on the street outside mocking me!
However despite all that it is a wonderful feeling to win in a big election and has provided me with a much need festive fillup which really has made me feel much more enthusiastic about Christmas.
Have a wonderful festive period to anyone who reads this!

My birthday....
Posted Nov 6, 2007
Today!!! I have reached the grand old age of 28 and suddenly "30" is seeming perilously close.... arrrggghhh .
Means I have only two more years in which I can be a "Youth Officer" in the CWU. A post that I hold very dear.
I have in fact pretty much been celebrating this since last Thursday. I was in Bristol and went to a Brazilian night where I saw a display of capoeira and a Carnival dancing lady .
Friday saw the obligatory piss up with my kid brother in which I ended up feeling pretty poorly, Saturday was to my Mums for a slap up curry and another piss up followed by watching the excellent Joe Calzaghe become a moder sporting great. My brother even got Setanta in for it. Aint he a sweetie?
Sunday I met another mate for a "Pie Minister" now if any of you readers happen to go to Bristol any time soon I implore you to have a Pie Minister, they are simply the finest things in existence!
Tonight I am off to Totnes for a slap up meal with the folks and then this weekend celebrating with me mates at home.
Not bad going to string the thing out for nearly a fortnight eh?

Feeling really rough...... urrrgghhh......
Posted Jul 24, 2007
God damn. For the last few days I have been suffering with acute tonsillitis. Now I had tonsillistis as a kid and whilst I remember it being a bit rough I certainly did not remember anything like this.
First off I have not been able to sleep since last thursday so I am totally exhausted, secondly I am finding eating virtually impossible, a situation whihc is presumably only exaserbating and elongating this condition.
It feels that me tonsils have been replaced with two ultra sensitive golf balls covered in hornet stings.
I could live with the pain if only I oculd sleep at night. Man this sucks....
