when I was talking about 911 I was talking about the war ya know
september 11th, Iraq, saddam.
just ignore what I was saying about the whole metric system.
I think that it's pretty cool being able to see the queen.
we have president bush and he's all over the world so I have NEVER EVER seen him and probably never will.
I don't know exactly what http STANDS for all I know is that it comes in front of a website.
do you of anyone who has ever made the dudes with the funny hats laugh.
I heard it's really hard to.
hey!
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Jul 29, 2003
Ah well I can do September 11th too! One of my friends died then so, it's just a thing that happened and I reckon America is a bit up itself about it but i wouldn't like to pass judgement because it's not my country and everything. Iraq, well that was a cock-up wasn't it? Uhoh nothing there! And I'm not sure that even if people say "oh well we freed the people", it was the right way to go about it. I'm not buying that. Saddam, sadistic ba**ard, but we all know that.
Would you really want to see President Bush? I'd rather have seen Clinton because he had charisma when he was in office (or whatever the term is). Bush just looks odd.
What dudes with funny hats?
hey!
Tacysa Posted Jul 29, 2003
i hate to interrupt, but im cayles friend tacysa. actually, i dont really hate to, but i hope im not disturbing you. http stands for hyper text transfer protocol. i think the people with the fuzzy hats shes talking about are the guards outside buckingham palace. bush rather reminds me of some sort of gnome...
hey!
moody mudslinger Posted Jul 29, 2003
I dont really prefer democratic presidents, but hey I'm from the south.
like stacy(tacysa) said do you know what I'm talking about with the dudes with the hats.
I dont know I think it would be pretty cool to see a president or any high ranking offical.
what happened to your friend on sep 11th, if you dont mind talking about it. if you dont want to it's okey dokey!
oh, if you ever have any questions that you dont understand you can ALWAYS ask stacy(tacysa). she knows just about everything.
she use to live over there, but then she moved!
I just got sun burnt from marching band camp and it hurts. have you EVER been sunburnt?
hey!
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Jul 30, 2003
Ah the dudes outside Buckingham Palace! Now I get it! Well the palace guards aren't supposed to be distracted by anybody so it's pretty hard to make them even look at your let alone laugh. I think one of my mates might have seen one smile but that could have been her imagination. If you stood there trying to make one laugh then they might tell you to "move on please".
When you say you don't like democratic presidents, what are the plus sides of a republican president exactly? I believe Bush is republican isn't he?
My friend was in one of the planes and....died. Sorry it's a bit of a blank, they weren't great friends or anything, I just knew them. But it has given me food for thought.
I've had sunburn this summer. I get it quite easily because I've got quite fair skin. I haven't got blonde hair or anything, just very white skin.
Do you like Hershey chocolate?
have you got a boyfriend?
Where in the world would you like to go?
Do you have any pets?
hey!
moody mudslinger Posted Jul 30, 2003
I love chocolate,I have 6 pets(3dogs,3cats),no boyfriend, and I'll go just about anywhere.
yes, bush is a republican. There is no certain reason why I like republicans.
they make decisions faster than democratic people, they dont take crap from people, and I HATED gore and clinton. probably the worst ever!
well gore was never president but still he came close, clinton:what kind of man cheats on his wife.bas**rd if ya ask me!
do you keep up with the whales family?
I always thought they people with the hats couldnt talk to anyone.
hey!
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Jul 31, 2003
What's the point of having the guards if they can't talk to anybody? They are supposed to be there for the protecttion of the royal family and so of course if you start mucking around they might get a bit annoyed.
So you reckon that going to war with Iraq was a good policy? How can you back your argument? Be careful because I know a lot about it and could successfully argue back so make it good.
Clinton may have cheated on his wife but that doesn't stop him having charisma in public and being able to work the crowd. I don't think that home affairs and state matters are interconnected.
Whales? what whales? Do you mean the branch of Windsor family that comes under Prince Charles? Or is this some obscure reference to swimming mammels?
I don't know what Prince Charles is doing. Although the rest of the world may think that the whole of England is deadly interested in its royal family, we aren't. Most of the time they try to stay out of the public eye unless they do something stupid.
I reckon Hershey's chocolate tastes like plastic. Have you ever had Cadbury's chocolate? In Europe they won't classify it as chocolate because it doesn't have enough cocoa in. It's really nice though.
The weather isn't too great at the moment, it's not raining, just threatening to.
I have one dog, a golden retriever, called Daisy. I've got a boyfriend called Max, and I would like to go on a trip through Europe and then one through America.
What sort of music do you like? What have you done today?
hey!
moody mudslinger Posted Aug 1, 2003
Tell me what you know about the war?
Clinton may have had good social skills, but thats just about all he knew how to do.
He knew how to get attention, he was a bad pesident and caused MANY problems!
yes.hehe, I was talking about the royal family when I was talking about whales, not the animals!
I'm not doing anything at this moment, but I have been at band camp ALL week.
It's 9:20 pm. It must be LATE over there. like midnight or something!
How long have you and max been going out?
I havent ever had that chocolate. is it really yummy?
Dark chocolate is gross, milk chocolate is good!
there isnt anything in america, I wouldnt waste your money on traveling here. It is fun here though, you would like the people, we're crazy, but dont worry we're a funny crazy!
hey!
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Aug 1, 2003
Sure there's things in America, for one thing I want to come over just for the novelty value.
I can't tell you what I know about the war because it would cover about 7 sides. However it is safe to say that British media has made more information public than the American media. Therefore you are probably in a slightly disadvantaged position.
What's band camp like? The only experiences of band camp I have are from films and I'm sure it can't be like that.
If you like I can send you some Cadbury's chocolate. It's very nice and comes with a variety of fillings and darknesses
I think there's about 5 hours between our times? I'm not completely sure but I'm on British Summer time at the moment.
Any other wonderful things about england you want to know? I could tell you all about how we all live in castles, but I suspect you know that isn't true
hey!
moody mudslinger Posted Aug 1, 2003
that would be cool to send chocolate, can you???
hehe, I know yall dont live in castles.
yall probably know ALOT more about the war than we do!
Is there anything YOU want to know about america.
sinse I have asked you ALL these Questions about england.
band camp is hard work but alot of fun, ours is anyway!
just about all my friends well close friends are in it.
you learn how to march to music and you have to memorize EVERYTHING you play!
I like it alot though, despite the horrible rumors!
hey!
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Aug 1, 2003
Ah well...I obviously know how to march to music, seeing as I'm part of the cadets. The whole memorising thing, I have more trouble with.
So does band camp include other schools or what? Is it just for the band music or do you do other things? I really don't understand about this.
Of course I can send chocolate! I'd be pleased to! It would be fun. If you email me at katadie at hotmail dot com with an address then I'll send you some cadburys. I promise I won't set nasty people on you or anything.
What's the place you live in like? Actually that's a bit of a hard question because looking round I know that my area is really different from yours, but I couldn't explain how!
I live on a newish estate on the outskirts of what used to be a pretty small village. It's got 5 bedrooms with two en suite. The whole house is probably smaller than yours by far, I'm not sure. My lovely doggy is leaving hair everywhere at the moment and so there is golden retreiver hair on everything! Even in the shower!
What's your favourite icecream?
If you could change your name would you? and what to?
hey!
moody mudslinger Posted Aug 3, 2003
yeah, you prbably do have it down pretty well dont ya.
yeah we have pass offs, thats when you show your leaders that you can play the music by memory. We had to do it the other day! It was easy!
you just have to study(practice) your music.
Band camp just includes your own school. It's where you learn the basics. you baically just learn the show that you are playing and your music. It's simple!
That would be SO awesome if you caould send chocolate. I'll email you, I know you wont set any nasty people on me. lol!
Yeah the places where we live are probably totally different.
I live on a farm in georgia(USA), just with cows though. We have tons of land here, with bunches of trees and a pond too. I guess you could say I have a semi big house I dont really know what you classify small or big.
I live in a small usually peaceful community.
My kitten is a mess, he's been knocking plants over all day, and after he has satisfied himself of that pleasure he goes and sits in a shoe box and I have NO clue why. He's so retarded.
I love alot of different flavors but mostly my 2 favorites are mint chocolate chip and chocolate chip cookie dough. they are SO yummy.
what are your favorites?
I might change my name cause everyone always says in wrong. I dont know what I'd change my name to if I could though.
Maybe Allyson or Anna/anne, but I dont really look like any of those. I look like a cayle. if you have trouble pronouncing it, it sounds like this... K LEE. most people in america spell it kaylee but my mom wanted to spell it different. SO I got stuck with cayle.
would you change your's?
hey!
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Aug 3, 2003
There's nothing wrong with the name Cayle *chuckles* It's very American.
I wouldn't change my name because it's got a "y" and a "k" in. The two best letters ever! Kathryn.
You only got cows? Do the cows operate as a proper farm thing or do you just have them? Sorry I'm not very well researched on agriculture in the states. I think your place must be MUCH bigger than mine because land is so much cheaper. Actually, if we start emailing I can send you some pictures!
Shoe boxes are comfy places for anybody, let alone kittens. I used to walk around with shoe boxes on my feet when I was small. Don't tell anyone that though.
My favourite icecream is probably chocolate fudge brownie, although I like Strawberry cheesecake too.
Today I bought some new school clothes. What fun! When do you go back to school?
hey!
moody mudslinger Posted Aug 3, 2003
I didnt think it sounded american, I'm very surprised.
I like your name, it's kinda close to mine, in a way.
yup I only have cows, well my grandfather does anyways. we live on a huge farm, about 300 acres worth of land.
What we do is we get cows, make them reproduce then fattin' them up, then we sell them, and then its starts all over again. we have about 300 cows too, and in the pastures that causes for many problems.
I end up stepping in the cows poo all the time, ya gotta watch it around here.
I would like to see some pictures of where you live, that would be awesome, If I couls work a digital camera I will send you some of here too, but you probably wouldnt be too interested with boring old farm life.
I use to do that with shoe boxes when I was little too, but I want tell anyone if you dont.
OMG, I can't stand cheesecake exspecially strawberry. eww.
My school starts next friday(august 8th), I bought some clothes yesterdsay
and some school supplies today.
I'm ready to start back. are you?
hey!
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Aug 4, 2003
I've just written a whole thing to welcome new people with! I've decided that seeing as the ACEs aren't recruiting right now, I'll just be an unofficial one for the moment.
I'm going into my village tomorrow so I will start buying things to send. It was pocket money day today (first monday of the month) so it's burning in my pocket.
I don't start school until the start of September! I'm bored though so I'll probably be glad to get back to school, but not glad to get back to the boarding house. I've only been there a term and I hate it!
What school supplies did you get? I know that sounds obvious and dull but I like stationary.
I'm up late again. It's 12:45 here. Not so fun but I can't sleep for some reason. I'm watching some awful cop car chasing program. It's American, oddly enough
I didnt think it sounded american, I'm very surprised.

Oh bother! Now you know that I copied your reply into my writing box so I could refer to it! That's embarrassing!
hey!
moody mudslinger Posted Aug 5, 2003
OMG, don't feel stupid about the whole reply thing. Remember that gap I said I was sorry about, well thats because I copied your reply and forgot to erase that huge gap. We can feel stupid together. Thats the only thing I hate about this h2g2 thing, It doesnt have what the other person wrote when you try to reply.
So your close to being an ACE already, I think thats awesome. I know it has to be hard work to be one of those.
Pocket money day, is that like allowence or something?
Do you want me to send you anything, cause I would send ya just about anything, you name it.
I bet you are glad that you have a whole month left before school starts back.
I miss school alot though so it wont be a big deal starting back SO soon.
Is boarding school like really boring? Do you have to stay there, away from your family? That would be hard for me to do. Do ALOT of your friends have to go to a boarding school also?
I love my school, It's awesome! If you lived down here I'm pretty sure you'd fit in perfect with Stacy and me.
Have you been talking to Tacysa(stacy) very long? she's hilarious.
I don't know what I would do without her "crazy" personality.
Well, It's probably different over here, but I have 4 3 ring binders for my chemistry class, my algebra 2 class, my U.S history class, and my english lit class. Then I have a regular notebook for my journalism class. I know that was probably a bunch of mumbo jumbo, sorry!
oh yeah, I got bunches of pencils and pens. see, here alot of people dont see each other alot during classes because of there schedule,
so people get notebooks, and write to each other in it and pass it back and forth everytime they see each other. So thats why I bought so many pens, to have a varity of colors! To make it pretty, in other words passing notes, but in a notebook!
I'm not up that late, but it is 11:00. I just got back from marching band practice. It's from 6-9 pm for today and tomorrow, then wednesday I have pictures, which only leaves me ONE day till school starts. Once school starts back, I have practice EVERY tuesday and thursday from 6-8, UNTIL DECEMBER!!!!!
ALL the cop shows from america are stupid, I have NO problem what so ever admitting that!
hey!
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Aug 5, 2003
Actually if you look below your little reply window then the last post is all set out there. I just had to copy your one because you had written something in between.
What's journalism class? We don't have anything like that here but it sounds quite fun!
Pocket money day is allowance day yes. The money gets transferred straight from my parents bank account to mine on the first monday of every month. It's just been upped actually but I seem to have had no money, which means I'm confused.
Not many of my friends go to boarding school. In my year about 20 people board which is quite a lot for my school. It's deathly boring, especially as not many English people board. It's mainly Chinese. They aren't the most friendly of people in the house.
I have got TONS of folders. We are talking one large and one small for English, one large for Physics, Two for Geography, and two large and one small for German. Then there is my huge, bursting folder for CCF which is what I use to make up lessons and things for the younger kids.
Don't you have lunch time and break etc. to talk to your friends? That's what we all do. We gather in groups in lunch hour and talk frantically before going our separate ways.
I'm getting bored waiting for going to school. School is boring for m when I get there but it would probably be better than being home all day. I only know one person around here and she's a 15 minute train ride away!
It's warm and muggy in England at the moment. Interesting for painting.
hey!
moody mudslinger Posted Aug 5, 2003
yeah, I see what you and stacy have been trying to tell me about the whole reply thing. I got it now, thanks!
Jouranlism is yearbook class. It's where you design your schools yearbook until spring, then you work on the school newspaper until school is over for the summer. I love it! It will be my 2nd year coming up.
So is it like a law that your parents transfer money to your account?
I wish my parents would do that.
It's sounds deathly boring. I know you must get bored ALOT. what do you do it occupy yourself at your school? Do you ever get any free time to do anything, like go to the movies or something?
Do the chinese people over there talk chinese? Are they aggravatiing?
Oh we get plenty of time to talk to our friends during school hours, but down here we are extremely close. Not all of us share a notebook just some. like stacy, me and her dont share one, but my other friend bonnie and her do. I guess stacy and bonnie are closer friends. My friend, becky, and me share one though.
It's a prefect day, but I dont feel like going and hanging out with the cows.
