Just ignore the person/people you don't want to talk to.
If they leave offensive messages that you don't like, then press the Yikes button (over on the right hand side) but making sure it's the button relating to that posting.
I've experienced something similar but you get over it and learn to deal with it. 
BTW: I only live over the water from you so I know Liverpool has now't wrong with it.

Are you a digibox user? If so, I'm not sure you have the button Vicky mentions.

we have the button... well, we can see it... but it doesn't work for the digiboxes..

there are two or three ways...
we either go to the Aces page and ask there [but risky as that could mean retaliation from the offending poster if they see it...]
some digibox users also ask aces on their personal space... but same risk...
email the mods [the email addy is on our Homepage U201567 .. well if you click on "ENTER" on the space that will take you to the Homepage]...
email Manda [co-founder of the H2G2/LDers space]...
we might have a new system starting soon: a yahoo account where Aces would be suscribed to so that if a digibox user needs a posting to be yikesed they can email that addy..
it's still new... but a great idea from manda...

i did try the yikes button but your right it does'nt respond for digibox users.
I like this site a lot and i'ts people like you that make me like it so much,

yep.. we sure try....
here is the link to the "yikesing for digiboxes": A1108018 quite a few ACEs and GURUs are already involved in it...
the support given to the digibox users on the site is very high now compared to when i first registered...
