Just passing through to say are you still on the Subs because I live in Gosport, England, the former home to our submarine fleet. And don't worry about the comments, everyone is entitled to an opinion and TB's a nice guy, if it had have been in a debate forum then you might have got some ugly replies back, Don't unsubscribe because your opinion doesn't fit, debate is healthy, honest

Debate CAN be healthy, and fun, and edu-tational, and all that.
I love debating.
But I don't do it here.
A recent debate I was in about religion got twisted by some people, who wanted a fight, and resulted in the banning of Godben.
And I don't talk about politics, here. It's a ground rule I set for myself.
Because I know a lot about history and politics, and when some writes something like "Hopefully the Israelies get whats coming to them"
...waitaminute... that was YOU!
And, yeah, everyone is entitled to opinions, but I won't say things, for fear of being mis-understood. Or intentionally taken out of context.
Because I don't know what sets people off.
Yeah, I like TB. He's cool, and we have similar senses of humor. But I don't know him well enough to know if he's joking or serious, sometimes.
You don't know me well enough to know that I was joking about ing at you. (I was, just so you know...)
So no debating for me.
But now that you're here, YOU'RE MINE!
...actually, I said all I wanted to.
Moving on.
No, I'm no longer in the Navy. Got out in August of 2003.
I was on the East coast of the United States, and knew many guys who had been, not to Gosport, but somewhere else.
Haven something. Or something haven.
Don't remember. And Holy Loch, Scotland.
I never got sent there. We went to the Middle East, though. Didn't like that.
But I have heard of Gosport, so that's cool.
I gotta get going. It's late, here, and the love of my life is online. Priorities. You understand...
Oh, and don't worry about the fact that she lives in Israel.
Anyway, if you care to talk further, go ahead, or jump into the convo TB and I started.
Debate, and all that...
Have a good one, any rate.

Don't worry about upsetting me I've got the hide of a rhino, I think debate is discouraged here because of upsetting delicate sensibilities and researchers having fainting fits and then going whining to the authorities. I had no idea Godben had been banned, everyone one from the italics to the newest researcher knows Godben doesn't mean half of what he says. This place is going to pot *Sigh*. I used to work with a couple of submariners

Yeah, well, it's a strange situation. That's usually how it is with Godben.
He's kinda been suspended, but only until he backs down, which he's not going to, so it's an open ended thing...
Whole thing is weird. There's a campaign going to get him re-instated.
And lately, some people have been making trouble, and got the MOTMV tearoom closed again...
I dunno. I still like it here.
Worked with some tubers, eh? Sorry to hear that. I know what that's like.
Was that for a military type job, or just because you lived near where they were?

I know all about the MotMV and what went on there and it's got me fuming, I won't say anymore because 'They' (Yes I do mean you) lurk regularly in my conversations and tend to barge their way uninvited into any private conversation they want to.
Godben is ok in small doses and I'm not at all surprised there's a campaign to get him reinstated.
I'm a chef and I I worked in a local base with a couple of Navy chefs who's been on submarines
