yep. In a holster. I was surprised at just how many cowboys/girls there were.

Were any of them builders - because I've met a few.

Don't think so.

We had a builder once who became so hard to track down that we thought of hiring Interpol.

Did you ever see him on one of those shows like 'builders from hell'?

Nope. I think I would have burst into tears if I did.

*wrings tears out of her hat*

Do you go to theme parties often?

People in the office went to see the Abba show where the whole audience dresses up. Someone even went to the karaoke Sound of Music dressed as a nun. Her dad went with her and he was dressed as a nun too. The photographs were terrific. We laminated a good one of her dad so that she could use it as a place mat.

I don't go that often. I went to one a couple years ago, that was a 60s/70s theme.

How did you dress? Hippy, punk, new romantic?

I was a hippy. It was a bit worrying though, cos I didn't have to hire a costume.

Did you wear bellbottoms? I used to have a pair of purple bell bottom 'loons'. They had no pockets on them. My mum was throwing out a light blue coat with patch pockets on so I took the pockets off her coat and sewed them on my trousers. They looked great. I also had a kaftan and shoulder length hair.

Wow. You do have hidden depths, don't you? No, I had a tassle skirt, tie dye top and platforms. Also a bandana and massively bushy hair. And flowers drawn on my face.

I never had flowers drasn on my face. I must have been deprived.
How bushy was your hair - Afro?

No, it wouldn't go afro. It was just really bushy and kinky and sticking out.

I never had platforms either. By the time I could afford them they had gone out of fashion. Some of my taller friends would bang their heads on doors all the time.

Oh dear. They should've had an afro - head protection.
