I think we types are mostly responsible for things involving history, abstract concepts, people (I seem to remember you can't photograph faces) and diagrams, while the Photographers are better at anything that really needs to be realistic.

You are right. Photographers can't show people or branded things or diagrams. What are abstract concepts

Photographers could (and do) take pictures of historic buildings and historic objects.

Abstract concepts we've done before are things like "Unity" or the one I did for my own Entry recently: A54479226 Things that you need too many special effects for if you want a photo. I suppose that includes extinct animals and extrasolar objects, too

True about the historical buildings - but it'll be harder to find, say, a Landsknecht army (unless you hang around with the weirdoes I do )

Then you are right about abstract concepts and some historical stuff. Of course researchers don't always live near or posess a photo of a certain thing, but if they do its nice to put that in.

Yep. And if not, I've had a lot of practice drawing buildings by now Buildings, nekkid people, and blocks of wood, that's all we ever did in classes

It's interesting and strange how different cultures perceive things. I can't imagine anyone today doing the paintings of cherubs and the like ...certainly not in britain.
