beer does not*dehydrate; you just keep increase the amount your taking in, and then your taking in more and more water, so remain hydrated; it may, if you stop drinking result in a dehydration, as outflow from the system is not being balanced out by a suitable intake of beer... you know it makes sense
I've not got a great deal of blood in my guinness system... so I oughta be safe from malaria?

Hi, Bel.
If you subscribe to this page, you will get any announcements:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A85834173
If you befriend this persona, you will always have links to all of the teams, which seemed a handy thing at the time, but your mileage may vary:

if I wasn't very clear elsewhere.

Bel, the folks who update that account are mainly me and Happy Nerd. Well Happy Nerd almost entirely, to be honest.
There's an announcements page created here A85834173 which will have updates posted every week until things settle down a bit. That's the page to subscribe to the conversations on.
But the point about journal entries is well made. 'Tis good advice. Thanks.
Ben

Hi Bel- there's too much going on for me to keep up with now, especially now that I'm back working and don't have as much time for hootoo as I did before. I keep thinking I'll miss something important.
Is there a heatwave in the UK? It's been unseasonably cool here for a couple of weeks, with just a couple days of 29-30°C or higher (though it should be back to 32° on Friday for one day). You must be getting some of our summer. I don't necessarily mind sharing, though, I'm happier with it feeling like spring.

Happy Nerd, you can still write something for .
I guess a lot of people are struggling to keep up.
PC, it'll all be better once we've migrated to our new home and settled in.

I've trouble keeping up too, and I'm one of the ones who's supposed to be organising it all. But I've been away for a week.

Welcome back, Gnomon
Well, just to summarise for Gnomon's benefit:
Robbie Stamp popped up from, variously, Mongolia, Togo and Pitcairn Island. In each case he said "Keep up the good work", promised he'll pop up again next week from somewhere else, and asked whether we'd received his last expenses return.
Noesis were lured into the cult of Nighthoover. We thought all was OK, until Aly issued a national press release consisting entirely of "zen" smileys.
Pastey tested his "one-key" site transfer process. Unfortunately, it copied a lot more of the BBC site than anticipated, including details of all the newsreaders' salaries, and a couple of previously unaccounted-for episodes of Doctor Who.
I think that was about it?

There was also something about a thinking thong and an interpretive dance, but Icy hit the main points.
