With a poem of mine I write like Bram Stroker, with my journal entry about a castle and park it is like H.P. Lovecraft - wonder why because neither of them are in any way horror stories....

I think it would be surprising if there was anything to it, but I don't think there is. I think they just pick some popular author at random.

James Joyce is famous for a very long section at the end of Ulysses which has no punctuation. So I suspect that if your text has no punctuation, it is labelled as James Joyce.

My "Lives of Stars" was Douglas Adams because it had stars in it.
